The Je Joue Vita is unlike any other bullet vibrator I’ve ever used. I have a small stash of bullet vibrators, all of which I love, but they all follow the same basic design — firm and cylindrical with a tapered tip. Some have different shaped tips, some have textured tips for extra sensation, some have a ring at the end to help you hold it, but other than that, bullet vibes are pretty much all the same. Except for the Vita. The folks at Je Joue really one-upped themselves with this unique design.

Design

The Vita looks and feels a lot more luxurious than its price point suggests. The silky smooth body-safe silicone gives it a sleek appearance, and feels just the right amount of squishy and firm. I've already gushed about the excellence of the rounded head and flexible neck, so let's talk about the handle. The handle is firm enough to grip well, but squishy enough to make it comfortable to hold. The controls -- just three simple buttons -- are easily accessible at the end of the handle, and they're easy to find with your fingers alone.

Ease of Use

The Je Joue Vita is an excellent choice for bullet vibrator beginners. Though it doesn't give the same experience as a more traditional bullet vibrator, it's incredibly easy to use, and I actually prefer the experience of using the Vita to the experience of using other bullet vibrators. The controls are as simple as can be, just three buttons! The + and - buttons turn the vibration intensity up and down through five powerful, rumbly settings. The middle button lets you choose from seven amazing vibration patterns that vary from steady to pulsing to dot dash. One of the best things about the Vita is its accessibility. The rigid, straight design of most bullet vibrators makes them tough to hold, especially for people with hand or wrist pain or grip issues. But the Je Joue Vita's flexible head and neck mean that you can grip the base of the handle and maneuver the head all over your vulva. You can even change the angle of your wrist and the head maintains contact. Since most bullet vibrators aren't super accessible, this gives the Vita major points.

Quality

The Vita is definitely a high-quality bullet vibrator. It's well-built, and the soft, body-safe silicone feels great against your most sensitive skin. The motor is remarkably quiet, especially for the power this vibe packs, though not entirely silent. I've used the Vita quite a few times since I got it, and so far, no signs of wear and tear. However, the strain on the materials that comes with bending the neck and head all over makes me concerned that the silicone in these sections would break down or tear over time. Again, no sign of that so far! We'll see how it holds up over time and vigorous use.

Price

Given that bullet vibrators range from $15 to $125 or more, the Vita is a great mid-range option, and it's definitely worth the money. I'd pay the sticker price based on the unique design alone, but the Vita also earns its price with its quality and performance. It's got more vibration patterns than some other bullet vibrators around the same prices, and the intensity of those vibrations means you get what you pay for, in a great way. The Vita doesn't come with a storage bag or any other extras, but given the price, I wouldn't really expect any.

Performance

Bullet vibrators aren't the first toy I grab when I'm looking for a solo session, but if I had to choose from all my bullet vibes, I'd grab the Vita almost every time. The flexible head and neck do things for me that no other bullet vibrator can, like send deliciously rumbly vibrations places that other bullet vibrators can't reach. The width and diameter of the rounded head also means those vibrations cover a larger area. While the tip of a regular bullet vibrator sends vibrations to one specific spot, the Vita's head sends vibrations to the exact spot you want, and the areas around it, creating even more intense pleasure. And when you use the concave side, it's like your erogenous zones are literally surrounded in sensation. With seven vibration patterns to choose from, everyone can find something that feels good. I tend to like steady or wave-like vibrations rather than pulsing or staccato vibrations, and the Vita had a few patterns that really kept me going until I went over the edge. That being said, the Vita offers plenty of options for folks who like on and off vibration patterns and changes in vibration intensity and pace. Though it wasn't silent, by any means, the Vita is a lot quieter than some of the other bullet vibrators in my collection. I wouldn't reach for it if I was trying to be stealthy, but it also wasn't loud enough to draw attention. I haven't challenged the battery life yet, mostly because the Vita is an efficient little vibrator! The product manual promises an hour of play for every 1.5 hours of charge, but each of my encounters with the Vita has been so quick, in a great way, that I haven't had to recharge it yet, even after several sessions.

Packaging

The box the Je Joue Vita came in was simple, but classy in all black and (not quite 50) shades of gray. Though the box isn't exactly discreet with the product name and description right on the front, it also wouldn't draw attention unless someone was really looking it. The box didn't contain any extras like a storage bag, but it did include a little pamphlet on how to use the Vita.

Materials and care

The Je Joue Vita is made of 100% body-safe, non-porous silicone, and it's 100% waterproof. Hello shower play! Though it doesn't come with a storage bag, the Vita is small enough to toss into any other toy bag you have lying around. Or you can put it right back in the box, which people wouldn't give a second glance if they saw it on a shelf in your room. To clean the Vita, just run it under warm water with some gentle soap, and either dry with a clean towel or let it air dry. The smooth, streamlined design makes it really easy to clean.
