  • Prefer squishy silicone rather than hard plastic
  • Enjoy clitoral stimulation
  • Enjoy the sensation of firm pressure
  • Have a very sensitive clitoris

  • Want a toy for internal stimulation
  • Want extremely strong vibrations
  • Are on a budget
  • Struggle with small controls
  • Have an implanted device (e.g., a pacemaker) or have had recent surgery on the area being stimulated (consult your doctor first)

The Je Joue Mimi Soft is a pebble-shaped vibrator that can be used for all kinds of external stimulation wherever vibrations feel good! You can experience pinpoint stimulation using the squishy tip, which is where the vibrations are most powerful, or you can lie it horizontally over your body to enjoy broad stimulation. The squishy tip is perfect if you have a sensitive clitoris that craves a soft touch or for getting a little more pressure when using it against your clitoris or nipples.

A Calm Climax

The Je Joue Mimi has found itself a spot as a regular on my nightstand, and I often find myself reaching for it when I feel like a more laid-back orgasm. There’s something quite comforting about the softness and simplicity that keeps me coming back to it. Whereas the Lelo Sona 2 Cruise is like the sequin dress of orgasms, the Mimi Soft is like your all-time favorite cozy jumper. I also think that’s a pretty good analogy for the type of orgasms I experienced with the Mimi Soft — they are gentle and enjoyable and exactly what I need when I’m in a relaxed mood or when I am ready to go to sleep.

The lower settings of the Mimi are very gentle but rumbly and make for a nice, slow warm-up when placed between the labia with the tip pointing up towards the clitoris. While I’ve always been a big supporter of foreplay during partner sex, it was easy to forget during solo play, and I find it’s so worth the extra time. The higher settings can become a little buzzy, and I would say the second level sees the most use.

The tip of the Mimi Soft is made with squishy silicone. I think it could have been a little bit softer, but I understand that could compromise the vibrations. It’s soft enough to hold against your body pretty firmly without feeling any discomfort , but still firm enough to get some pretty intense stimulation.

Suitable for Solo and Partner Play

The softness, shape, and size also make it pretty convenient to use with or on a partner as you don’t have to be so worried about getting it in exactly the right position or pressing too hard. It’s also small enough to slide between your bodies during penetrative sex or add a little boost to fingering, oral sex, or breast/nipple play.

Je Joue Mimi Soft -

The Mimi Soft from Je Joue is a pebble-shaped vibrator with a soft, curved stimulation tip. I love the smooth, minimal design — it's like finding a perfect completely smooth pebble on the beach that you just want to hold and turn over in your hands. The silicone has a velvety matt finish and comes in a choice of colors, including the classic sex toy purple in this review. It's about the size of the palm of my hand and is easy to hold during use. I really love I can use the tip for more direct, pinpoint stimulation or lay it horizontally between my labia for broad stimulation, which I like to use as a sort of warm-up. The only small decoration is the imprint of the Je Joue logo at the base of the toy but this isn't really that noticeable, which I appreciate.

The buttons on the Je Joue Mimi Soft are relatively intuitive to use — two buttons to increase/decrease through the 5 speeds and one to scroll through the 7 patterns. It is also easy to charge with the magnetic USB charger — you just need to make sure you see a flashing light to confirm that it is charging. The buttons are a little on the small side and it's quite difficult to distinguish between the + and - that turn the intensity up and down, so it's easy to press the wrong one. They are also quite small and shallow, so might not be the most practical if you have any issues with your hands.

Je Joue Mimi Soft -

After using the Je Joue Mimi Soft for a couple of months, I can report that the battery lasts pretty well and it doesn't overheat when in use. I have, however, noticed that the silicone cover has come away from the solid core of the device, meaning there can be some air bubbles under the silicone. After doing a bit of research, this seems to be a fairly common complaint with the Je Joue Mimi Soft and while it doesn't affect the use of the device, it does lower the score when it comes to quality.

I feel like the price tag is pretty standard for this type of vibrator. However, at this price, I feel the quality could be a little higher, the higher-level vibrations a little rumblier, and there should really be a storage bag included at this price level.

The vibration quality is much rumblier on the lower settings and tends to get a bit more buzzy after from the 3rd setting upwards. Also, the toy device becomes quite uncomfortable to hold when using the level 4 or 5 vibration settings, as the vibrations travel into my hand, which starts to get tingly after a very short time. I wouldn't say the Mimi Soft is particularly loud nor particularly quiet — the volume ranges from around 30 decibels on the lower settings to 50 decibels on the highest settings, but this gets dampened a lot when it's under a duvet. There are six pulsing and rolling patterns to play with as well as the steady vibration setting, which is my favorite.

This pebble-like vibe comes nestled in a thick card box with a deep purple feather print and a matt-feel finish. Inside, there is a carboard structure used to present the device itself and house the charger. While the packaging is nothing to write home about, I like that there is minimal plastic and you can tell that Je Joue has made an effort to create a luxury vibe for this luxury vibe.

The overall simplicity of the Mimi Soft is one of its big advantages and that includes cleaning. Unlike some sex toys that have lots of nooks and crannies to clean and dry, the Mimi's simple pebble-shape design is a breeze to wash and dry! The device is fully waterproof and covered in body-safe silicone, meaning it can be washed using a sensitive, fragrance-free soap and water or a sex toy cleaner. For the best silky, slippery sensations, add a slick of water-based lube to the Je Joue Mimi before getting busy! The only downside is that once you've cleaned and dried the Mimi, you'll have to find a practical way to store it, as it doesn't come with a storage bag, and the box is a bit bulky to keep next to the bed!

The soft in Mimi Soft refers to the squishy silicone tip at the top of the pebble. While it’s not super squishy, it definitely feels good to squeeze and makes it more comfortable to press into your body. This pressure also feels like it helps the vibrations penetrate further for deeper stimulation.

  • Squishy tip perfect for pressing against your body
  • Smooth, velvety silicone
  • Pinpoint or broad stimulation
  • Gentle vibrations are great for sensitive clitorises
  • Extremely simple to use and clean

  • No storage bag
  • No travel lock
  • Vibrations might be too weak for some people
  • Buttons can be a little stiff

The Je Joue Mimi Soft hasn't blown me away with new technology or given me earth-shattering orgasms but there is something to be said about its ease and simplicity that makes me really quite like it. I love that the small, smooth shape just sits so nicely in my hand and between my legs and it's so easy to find a good position. I find some toys that I love don't get as much use because sometimes they feel a bit more like a project but the Mimi is so easy to pick up and use. The design also makes it a great vibrator for partner play. The main things I'd like to see improved are the higher-level vibrations — if they could match the rumbliness of the lower settings this would get a much higher score, and also I would love the tip to be just a little softer, even if that compromised how well the vibrations traveled. Oh and not forgetting a storage bag and travel lock! If you are looking for a standard vibrator for external use and love high settings I would probably recommend the We-Vibe Tango over the Mimi Soft, but if you are looking for something a little gentler and want a squishy toy then the Mimi could be a great choice!

Yes, the Mimi Soft is great for both solo and partner play.

Connect the magnetic points on the cable to the two magnetic points on the device - they should slide into place when connected properly. Plug the USB cable into a power source and check to make sure the small indicator light is flashing.

A full charge takes approximately 120 minutes and will give you around 120 minutes of play time.
