Design

The Lelo Hugo 2 Remote looks stunning. It is incredibly soft to the touch with its velvety silicone finish. The remote is slim, sleek, and minimalistic with luxurious accents of gold accented on both the base of the prostate massager and the included remote control. The design personally does work for me, as its shape contours well to the anal cavity and prostate, and the sleek, velvety material glides effortlessly upon insertion.

Ease of Use

This toy was very simple, and straightforward in its instructions and how to use it. There is a singular button on the prostate massager itself to power it on, and a singular button on the remote with a + or - icon to increase or decrease the strength of vibrations. Although it mentions that there are 8 vibrational modes included, it fails to mention what they are or how they feel anywhere in the physical or digital instruction manual. I wish this would have been included, as it would have made the experience less of a guessing game. The remote and its included SENSEMOTION modes make using motion to pleasure yourself incredibly pleasurable and provides different options for individuals to use the remote control. Although different from most remotes, there is not much of a learning curve after spending approximately 5 minutes with the remote and reading the included manual online.

Quality

The Lelo Hugo 2 is of excellent quality. You can tell that from every aspect of the prostate massager and remote including the materials chosen, colors used, smooth texture applied, it all helps to perpetuate the feeling of quality materials and an overall pleasurable and luxurious experience. It's is extremely reliable and sturdy during use. The one downfall is that it is on the louder side of the spectrum. Through intense vibrations provided throughout both the base and shaft of the toy, the combination of sound from both locations cause it to emit plenty of sound and therefore is best used alone or in a safe and secluded environment.

Price

I believe that for the current $164.25 price point of the Lelo Hugo 2 Remote, that the prostate massager is, in fact, worth the price. Included in the box you get the massager, the remote control, 2 AAA batteries, a USB-A charging cable, one packet of personal moisturizer, a nylon storage bag, a warranty registration card, a plastic, translucent key to open the remote control, and a small user manual. Everything included in the box is nothing out of the ordinary for prostate massagers or sex toys in general, but the overall positive experience of the Hugo 2 I believe justifies the $164.25 price point. Also seeing as how compared to other prostate massagers such as the Lovense Edge, coming in at $100, a 64 dollar difference can be seen as justifiable depending on the consumers' viewpoint.

Performance

The Lelo Hugo 2 Remote made me content, it didn't knock my socks off, but it was an overall positive and pleasurable experience. The vibrations were fast, strong, and yet simultaneous indirect, leading me to believe that they were not directly targeting my prostate in a way, and can potentially be described as deep or soft. The remote functioned perfectly, although a bit odd to get accustomed to the SENSEMOTION controls, overall it was very ingenuitive and new and was very satisfied by the feature and experience it provided me. I had the toy on for its full length of time, although I believe it did prematurely shut down during use due to its automatic shutdown every 20 minutes feature to ensure that the motors don't overheat if it's is misused. Afterward, the Hugo 2 was slightly hot, potentially due to a combination of internal body temperature and internal motor function over the duration of an hour of playtime. It fully recharged over the course of 2 hours, as indicated by the instructional manual. I believe that in comparison to the original Lelo Hugo, the Hugo 2 has a much shorter battery life of only 1 hour, compared to the previous model's 2 hours of battery life.

Packaging

Unboxing the Lelo Hugo 2 Remote is a luxury and satisfying experience. Akin to that of unboxing an action figure from when you were growing up, the toy comes packages in an all black box with a transparent front cover with approximately 7 words on it. The minimalistic approach, paired with the golden words contrasted against the sleek and professional black background of the box it is printed on, makes you want to grab it off a shelf and gasp, as if you were holding a priceless jewel. It is simultaneously discreet with the black packaging, yet bold with the gold lettering and transparent front panel, allowing you to see exactly what you are getting with the Lelo Hugo 2 as opposed to other sex toys that come in opaque boxes. In the box Lelo includes an instructional manual for how to get started and use the toy, as well as an instructional card to register their device on the Lelo Wesbite.

Materials and care

The materials of the massager as well as the included remote are both body-safe silicone and ABS plastic. They are lightweight materials considering that the massager itself comes in at 5.53 oz./ 0.35 lb. and the remote weighs 30 g/ 0.07 lb. The smooth texture of the silicone is hard to describe, as it feels more velvety than other silicone toys, making it seem more high-grade. The Hugo 2 Remote is rated IPX7 waterproof as well. After use, the Hugo 2 should be cleaned with warm water and antibacterial soap, then rinsed with clean hot water and patted dry with a lint-free cloth or towel. The manual also states that you can rinse and spray it with Lelo Toy cleaner, then rinse again and allow it to dry. The toy comes with what seems a nylon storage bag for portability and storage purposes.

Special feature

A special feature of the Lelo Hugo 2 is the SENSEMOTION remote. As well as using the buttons, you can also use motion controls to change the vibration speed. Mode 1 is activated by initially pressing the + button on your remote and waiting for connection to establish. After a light is illuminated on both the remote and main unit, you can tilt the remote to intensify the vibrations. You can press the + button again to use Mode 2, where you can alter the vibrations of the prostate massager by physically shaking the remote. The faster the movement, the higher the intensity of the vibrations.
