My Verdict
All in all, I am very pleased with the Liberator Flip Ramp. While I do feel like I may be missing out on some of the more acrobatic ways to try out the Flip Ramp, I am still very impressed by how well it works for any other use. It provides great support for my favorite sex positions and thereby opens new possibilities for the duration of time it's possible to play around! Again, this is just great when bringing restraints and BDSM play into the mix. I love love love the dual function and the flip design. I will always be a fan of versatility. I will acknowledge that the price is not very budget-friendly. But I do understand the price point when considering all the benefits you're getting from this hybrid sex pillow/sex furniture product. And, of course, also considering that you're getting a free ottoman with your purchase! To be honest, I was a fan as soon as I found out how comfortable it was to lie on while watching TV.

If you’re a loyal reader here at Bedbible, you may have noticed that some of our writers here have already tested and reviewed a few products from Liberator. Rachel reviewed the Liberator Wedge, Kasia reviewed the Liberator Bon Bon, and Isabelle reviewed the Liberator Jaz. Naturally, I also wanted to be part of the “I-Have-A-Whole-Ass-Piece-Of-Sex-Furniture-At-Home” Club! Enter the Liberator Flip Ramp. I was beyond excited to test out this bolstered behemoth. Especially with all the good Liberator reviews from my colleagues.
Innovative, Ergonomic, & Eco-Compressed
The Liberator Flip Ramp arrived in a box that concealed its true size and shape. These kinds of sex pillows arrive in tightly vacuum-sealed packaging. Eco-compressed to reduce the carbon footprint in the shipping process. This is definitely a plus in my book, and heaps of fun to open! The Flip Ramp was restored to its full (larger than expected) size in a matter of minutes. I simply slipped the micro-velvish cover on it, and it was ready to go! Now, I spent some time admiring the curvatures of the ramp, and the flip function. I absolutely love that this bad boy can go in full incognito mode as a plain old ottoman. Before I even used it for spicy purposes, I actually had a great time enjoying it as an ottoman. I even flipped in open to lay on my side on the ramp to watch a movie. It was great! The Flip Ramp is super soft, very light weight, and extremely comfortable. A piece of sex furniture that simply doubles as super comfy actual furniture in its sparetime? Okay, okay, I promise I did actually test out its potential as a piece of sex furniture and didn’t just use it as an extension of my couch… My partner and I had blast trying out the Liberator Flip Ramp. There was a bit of learning curve to finding our ideal angles, and experimenting with which surface the Flip Ramp worked best on – the floor, the bed, the couch, etc. This largely depends on which positions you’re doing and how much (or little) added support you would potentially need. Once we found the best ways for us to elevate our existing favorite positions, we were sold. The Flip Ramp is a favorite in our bedroom… and living room. While its not always necessary, it does provide great support during longer sessions – especially longer sessions involving restraints. Added support and comfort is always a plus here! The ergonomic curves create angles that helps enhance the positions you already know and love, and help you safely and comfortably experiment with new ones! I do, however, have one note on the foam density and weight distribution. Some positions that require most your body weight to be on one little area of the Flip Ramp were a bit tricky for me. I live in a larger body and suspect that this high-density foam was still not quite equipped to hold its shape completety with that kind of weight distribution. While I still feel like I can get a lot out of this product (with less ambitiously acrobatic positions), that may not be the case for people living in much larger bodies. Keep this mind, if you’re considering getting the Liberator Flip Ramp.Design
I think the design of the Flip Ramp is genius. The dual-function flip mechanism, the incognito mode, the ergonomic curve of the ramp, etc etc. I also appreciate the height of the tallest part of the ramp. It's super compatible with a lot of different positions and very comfortable! However, I do have one note about the bottom bit of the ramp. This could be slightly taller to help improve the angles of penetration in missionary position. If you enjoy using the pillow-under-the-bum trick, you might also understand that it's nice to get the pelvis a bit more off the ground for this! Another small comment is that the zippers for the cover don't look great when the Flip Ramp is in incognito mode. I would prefer if they were slightly more subtle, but that's simply a matter of aesthetics.
Ease of Use
Of course, there's a learning curve to using every single sex toy or sex toy adjacent product. The Liberator Flip Ramp is no exception but once you've tried it out a few times and found your favorite angles, this baby is super easy to use. The piece itself is easy to open upon arrival. Simply open the eco-compressed plastic wrap, and let it expand by itself. Putting on the cover was a bit tricky because of the overall design, but it was still quite a simple endeavour once I had the hang of it. When it come to using it for oyur sexy adventures, all I can say is: experiment and practice! You'll be glad you've explored the many possibilities with the Flip Ramp.
Quality
The Liberator Flip Ramp is without a doubt a high-quality product. Not only is this reflected in the price, it is also apparent in the materials, durability, ergonomic design, and the helpful (and eco-friendly) packaging. I'm very much under the impression that the Flip Ramp will last quite a while! A sturdy, high-quality companion for the long run!
Price
Alright, so the Liberator Flip Ramp is definitely not a cheap product. It also exists in the existential limbo between being a regular sex pillow and an actual piece of sex furniture. It's a beautiful mix of both! Keeping that in mind, I can understand the hefty price tag. Let's not forget that this big boy also is a dual function product. So, even though I wouldn't recommend this to anyone on a tight budget, I would definitely recommend it to anybody out there who really values versatility, quality, and is looking for something that's a bit of a step up from a smaller wedge pillow.
Performance
The Liberator Flip Ramp performs very well. So far, I've been pleasantly surprised about how durable this thing is. I love that the covers are moisture-resistant and machine washable. I'm also impressed with how soft the micro-velvish cover continues to feel even after quite a bit of use. Again, while I'm very impressed with the high-density foam and its ability to keep its shape during most use, there's still something to be desired in its ability to fully support larger bodies and more weight overall.
Packaging
I was actually quite impressed with the packaging for the Liberator Flip Ramp. I mean, first of all, I always love a big box. Second of all, the eco-compressed packaging was a really nice touch (both for the environment and for my unboxing pleasures!). I also enjoyed that there was an informational pamphlet included. This was a simple and useful guide to the many things possible with the Flip Ramp. From illustrations of sex position ideas to a guide on how to clean and care for it.
Materials and care
The cushions within the Liberator Flip Ramp are made of supportive polyurethane foam lined with moisture resistant polyester. You don't have to worry about any spillage or splashes! When you're done havign your fun, you can easily take the cover off and throw it in the washing machine! The micro-velvish cover is 100% machine washable for a super easy clean-up. There's no storage box included (very understandable) but you can easily store your Flip Ramp in incognito mode in a closet or, like me, as an integral part of your living room layout! Simply clean it regularly like any other piece of furniture. I use a vacuum or lint roller every know and then.
Special feature
The special feature of the Liberator Flip Ramp is obviously the unique flip function! This dual function design has been blowing my mind for a while now. I absolutely love being able to flip this baby around, fold it up, turn it around, etc. I feel like a have 5 pieces of sex furniture in one! The incognito mode is a winner in my household. I’ve been looking to buy a new ottoman for a while, and I had no idea that I could so easily get two birds with one stone with this sexually supportive ottoman! I’ve gotten a great tool for elevating my sex positions and a new piece for my living room layout. What’s not to like?
