My Verdict
I love the Liberator Wedge, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who engages in partnered sex! The difference that it made during sex as a vulva-owner was immediately noticeable, and oh-so enjoyable, and it didn't require any kind of uncomfortable contortion or weird sex positions to do so. It is an investment, but I think that, if you have the budget, it is 100% worthwhile.

Did I enjoy using the Liberator Wedge?
First things first, let me tell you: I absolutely love the Liberator Wedge! I’ve been admiring sex wedges from afar for so long, and this one really did not disappoint. Who knew that such a simple piece of kit could make such a difference during sex?
First Impressions
When you unpack the Liberator Wedge and free it from its plastic prison, you have to give it a few hours to fully inflate and uncurl. Once it was ready, I was taken aback by how big it was! I’ve seen the Liberator Jaz in person, thanks to Isabelle’s review, which is much smaller, and I hadn’t really looked up how big the Wedge was. I’m only a small person, so I was slightly worried that this sex pillow would lift me up too much and feel awkward. However, I was pleasantly surprised with how natural it felt underneath me. It’s large enough to fit a range of body sizes, but they also make a plus-sized version, too.A Bit of a Sexual Revolution
Like many others, I had already experimented with placing some normal pillows under my hips during sex. It did feel a bit better than usual, but they were too squishy to keep me up for long. The Liberator Wedge, however, totally changed the game. The way it actually angled my pelvis, instead of just lifting it up, meant that when my partner penetrated me in the missionary position, I could feel an immediate difference. It was like a lightbulb turned on in my head — the stimulation of my g-spot was so much stronger and better than usual, and we could both feel it. I often struggle to feel as much stimulation in missionary when compared to other positions, but with the Wedge the penetration felt deeper and much more satisfying, especially when we paired it with the Dame Eva. And, that’s not to mention oral sex! Having my hips higher meant my boyfriend didn’t have to crane his neck as much, so we could go for longer.Some Re-adjustment Needed
The only real issue we encountered with the Liberator Wedge was how slidey the material was. When you’re lying at such an angle on such a slick fabric, it’s inevitable that your hips will slide down the Wedge over time. It’s easy to readjust, but it does feel a little un-sexy to have to shuffle your butt back up so often. The other, smaller issue was that having me at such an angle felt a bit unnatural for boyfriend at first. He tried to compensate for the different angle by moving up and penetrating me from directly above, effectively cancelling out the angle. However, after a couple of minutes, we sorted it out and he got into the swing of things.My Personal take on the design of the Liberator Wedge
The Liberator Wedge is, as you might expect, a big wedge-shaped pillow. When I first got it out, I was surprised to see how big it actually was in person, but this really works in its favor. It's wide enough to fit a large range of body sizes and shapes, and is tall enough to give you a significant height boost under the hips. Since its not that long, it doesn't support that much of your back, but that actually helps create the 45º angle that you want. The only issue is storage — since it's too big for our closets, it lives behind our bedroom door!
How easy was it to use?
The Liberator Wedge is incredibly easy to use — you just pop it into position and you're ready to go. The velvet material is a little slippery, so you may have to reposition yourself a couple of times, especially if the person on top of you is thrusting enthusiastically! However, it doesn't tend to move around itself, I just slid down the Wedge a bit.
Grading the Quality
Liberator are the leaders in this kind of sex furniture, and it shows. The Wedge pillow is made with top quality construction and materials, and you can tell a lot of thought has gone into the design of this seemingly simple accessory. From the super dense, yet comfortable foam, to the addition of a water-resistant liner and the soft velvet cover — it's all so good!
Price and Value: Analyzing the Liberator Wedge
The Liberator Wedge is... not cheap. But, it is still one of the more affordable Liberator offerings. When you consider its size, the water-resistant feature, and just how much better for the job it is than normal pillows, I honestly think it's a worthwhile investment for many couples out there. In fact, it's only fractionally more than the Liberator Jaz, which is narrower and less tall than the Wedge.
Does it Deliver on Performance?
I already gushed enough about it earlier, but the Liberator Wedge really is so effective for such a simple piece of equipment. As soon as my partner and I tried missionary sex with the Wedge under my hips, I could feel an immediate and incredible difference! We tried a few other positions, too, where I also noticed that I felt less strained, and he said that oral was less strenuous for him when using it.
Packaging of the Liberator Wedge
The packaging for the Liberator Wedge is... fine. It comes in a large box with a picture of a woman in lingerie on the front, which feels so unnecessary in this day and age. There's also a bit of a creepy line as you open it that says 'Thank you for letting us into your bedroom'. You're welcome, I guess? At least you don't have to keep it around, as the Wedge won't fit back in its box once you unfurl it.
Material and care guide
The Liberator Wedge has quite a few layers! The cushion itself is made from a dense polyurethane foam, the first zip-up cover is a moisture-resistant layer of polyester, and the outer cover is a velvety microfiber that is machine-washable. This velvety material picks up dust like crazy, especially with the black version that I received. Since it's too big for us to store away in our bedroom, we have to leave it out in the room, so it collects quite a lot of dust when not in use. However, this doesn't bother me too much, as it's super easy to wash, and can also be rolled with a lint roller if necessary.
