Just Another Finger Vibrator?

I think finger vibrators are a genius invention and a game-changer in the sex toy world. However, I have tried a couple and usually they are comparable. Therefore, I wanted to try the Lovehoney Ignite, as not everyone can afford those luxury brands. And with a price point well below $50 (at the time of this review), the Ignite is a quality toy at a fantastic price point.

Out of the Box

I must admit, I was impressed with the elevated packaging of the Lovehoney Ignite. Usually, Lovehoney branded items are frugally packaged with no extras or frills. But this time, the box looked like that of higher-end toys, with an opening front to reveal a window and the toy. However, I was a little confused that the little flap said, “Open here.” But I had to wrestle and resort to scissors to actually break into the package. Inside the box was the Ignite, a 1-page instruction paper, charger and a….wait for it….STORAGE BAG! That’s a first for me, as not one Lovehoney branded toy has come to me with a storage bag!

There was a little surprise inside the box, but one that could have potentially killed a pet or child. As I pulled everything out of the box, something fell, clanked against my bed frame, and alerted me to search the floor. And there was the surprise, tiny, shiny and deadly. Now, this surprise wasn’t mentioned on the box or product description. It was a set of magnetic, button cell batteries, apparently the type the Ignite uses. I’m not sure if this was intentional on the companies part, or an accident in the packaging facility. Either way, BE WARNED and open the packaging with caution. Magnetic, button cell batteries are deadly to humans and pets. And had I not heard them fall, I don’t want to think what could have happened, as we have a very food-driven, fat kitty who will eat anything that doesn’t eat her first.

Buzzy with a Small Side of Rumble

I slipped the Ignite over my forefinger and started to turn it on. It was then that I realized that the button was on the bottom, instead of the top, where I could press it with a finger on the same hand. Design flaw number one. So, using my other hand, I turned it on and let the buzzing begin. I was blown away that the Lovehoney Ignite features 3 speeds and a whopping 17 patterns. And I went through each and every one of them. The lowest speed was all I needed to climax, and it wasn’t anything special, but better than a finger alone. However, the tip of the Ignite is smaller than most finger vibrators and allows for pinpoint precision and excellent clitoral stimulation. But if I pressed the area below the tip into my clitoris and labia, I got a deeper sensation often reserved for more rumbly vibes. Now, there are a couple of patterns that start low and escalate, if you enjoy more rumbly vibrations. But overall, it’s a buzzy vibrator.

Comfort and Fit

The Lovehoney Ignite was extremely comfortable to use, as I have grip issues. Plus, it easily fit all my fingers and thumb. Therefore, it will also fit larger hands. Best of all, my hand and finger didn’t go numb, which is unusual for such a buzzy vibrator. In the end, I liked the Ignite a great deal. I highly recommend it for any single clit-owner or couple, for all over erogenous zone stimulation. And for you parents or people with roommates out there, the Ignite is whisper quiet!
