I’ve already own a few different jewel metal butt plugs with this classic teardrop-shaped design before. They all have different sizes and different colors or shapes of “gems” at the base. Okay, I admit that the Lovehoney Jeweled Heart Metal Butt Plug looks very similar to most other jeweled metal butt plugs out there. There's nothing that really stands out. But that's because it's a classic design that never goes out of style. Now, the little pink heart gem may not be for everyone but for both my partner and I, this cute little design actually elevated our experience. Maybe it's because we enjoy using our imagination to create fun scenarios based on accessories like this. I definitely think it's both cute and sexy!

Ease of Use

The Lovehoney Jeweled Heart Metal Butt Plug is a pretty basic and beginner-friendly butt plug. The diameter of 1.1 at its widest point means that it's realistic for beginners to experiment with. The tapered tip and the smoothness of the metal also makes for a pretty easy insertion. The heart-shaped base really helps it stay in place so you don't have to worry about it slipping in!

Quality

My overall experience with the quality of the plug itself is quite good! Since the packaging didn't exactly scream luxury, I kept my expectations low. But the Lovehoney Jeweled Heart Metal Butt Plug was actually really sturdy, beautiful, and impressive when in use! The "gem" is made of ABS plastic so it obviously doesn't really sparkle. This, on the other hand, is what makes it more affordable so I'm pretty okay with that!

Price

I think the Lovehoney Jeweled Heart Metal Butt Plug is priced very similarly to other jeweled butt plugs on the market. As far as metal butt plugs go, it's very affordable compared to luxury items. I also just think you get a lot of value for money with this little plug because it's so versatile and performs really well overall.

Performance

I have owned a few other jeweled metal butt plugs before. Some were smaller, some were larger, but this one is the perfect size for me and my everyday needs. I can easily use it without needed much warm-up, and the weight and firmness is surprisingly satisfying for something so small. I like that the Lovehoney Jeweled Heart Metal Butt Plug is good for solo play, double penetration, warm-up for anal sex, long-term wear, and for temperature play as well!

Packaging

Now, the packaging was probably the only slightly disappointing thing about the Lovehoney Jeweled Heart Metal Butt Plug. It comes in a simple cardboard box with a bit of basic information and a brief how-to guide on the side. The plug itself was simply nestled in some plastic inside the box. Sadly, there was no little storage pouch to be seen anywhere. Most other metal butt plugs that I own have come with one, so this was a bit disappointing. Again, I think this also contributes to the low price.

Materials and care

The Lovehoney Jeweled Heart Metal Butt Plug is made of super smooth zinc alloy and has a "gem" made of ABS plastic that is glued to the base of the plug. This does mean that while the plug itself is non-porous and can easily be cleaned, you can boil it for sterilization the same way you would boil toys made 100% of silicone, metal, or glass. Still, you can dip to the plug itself in boiling water for a few seconds to clean it as much as possible. After every use, you should simply wash it with warm water and a mild soap, and let it dry completely before storing it safely away from anything that could potentially scratch it.
