My Verdict
At first glance, I was intimidated by the Original Magic Wand. I have never had a toy that needs to be plugged into an outlet. The size also threw me off. But, my husband suggested it and I am glad he did! I prefer to use this toy with his help as I find I get more pleasure this way. He’s able to maneuver it easier than I am with the weight and the cord. I also found that it makes a great back massager! This is a wonderful bonus for me! My husband is more willing to “rub my back” if he gets to use the Magic Wand instead. You can’t beat a dual pleasure tool!

Personal Experience
First Impressions
My first impression of the Magic Wand was that it was incredibly simple, in both design and use. Simple in a way that it was almost underwhelming. I’m used to seeing toys with all the bells and whistles, but with that being said, the Magic Wand did not disappoint in performance! After plugging the Magic Wand into the wall next to my bed I had to test the “low” setting and the “high” setting to see the difference. The head of the toy rumbled on low then rumbled more intensely on high. It didn’t really thrust. I moved the head back and forth and it seemed to be very stiff. I was skeptical of how much pleasure it truly could provide.Partner To The Rescue
I tried to use the toy on my own first. I did find it very difficult. I kept getting the cord in the way and it was bulky. When I would start to feel pleasure and thought I had found the right spot, my wrist would start to hurt from holding the toy in such an uncomfortable position. I decided to enlist the help of my husband because this toy was his idea anyway. He was able to hold it in a way that was comfortable for him and provided immense pleasure for me. He was able to let me enjoy the toy without out the discomfort. It was very simple for my husband to use as well. This toy is not meant to be inserted. It’s best rubbed against the whole vaginal area and the rumbling quickly finds a pleasurable rhythm for me that feels absolutely wonderful! He really just has to hold it for me, and the toy does the rest. I have tried other ways of using it to see if I could find a way that would be comfortable for self-use, such as laying on side or sitting up, but have yet to find a way that works for me. I get the best experience with the help from a partner.Dual Use
My second favorite use of the Magic Wand is muscle massages! My husband is much more willing to give in when I ask if he gets to use this toy. I just direct him to an area where my muscles are sore and have him rub the Magic Wand gently back and forth until its better. I prefer to use it on low for this. The low rumble really seems to knock out a lot of those knots! I will say I don’t like to use it too close to the base of my head as it feels like it might vibrate my eyes right out! Overall, I enjoy the Magic Wand, if I didn’t have the option to use a partner, I don’t think I would enjoy this toy as much.Design
The Magic Wand is user friendly with two different power options and the off option on one switch. This toy is longer and bulkier than I prefer. It is not rechargeable and does not have a battery so can only be used while plugged into the wall. This limits where I am able to use this toy. It is sleek and made from durable plastic and is very easy to clean. The plastic is white with a short blue shaft the holds the rumbling head that is also white. The head is made of a white vinyl. I wish the look wasn't so plain and boring. I like when there is a design and more colors. I also wish that it had some kind of indentation on the sides so I could hold it better myself.
Ease of Use
Using this toy can be a challenge if you don’t have a partner, as it’s quite large. The switch works great and is easy to use. Even while currently in use it’s simple to switch between modes. I wouldn’t suggest this for someone with grip issues as it can be hard to hold on to while it’s rumbling. I’ve had wrist pain myself from holding it too long.
Quality
The Magic Wand is made of quality hard plastic. I would say this toy is durable. I have accidentally dropped it off the side of my bed and it hasn’t even scratched it. From the thud sound I was almost more worried that it dented my floor instead of hurting the toy! The head is made of vinyl which is not usually durable. It has the potential to flake, and nobody wants that left on them! I have no noise complaints about this toy. It just makes a low humming rumble type noise. It’s actually a quite nice noise when using it for a back massage.
Price
I paid around $90.00 for the Magic Wand from the local retailer I have in my area. I would have rather got a rechargeable toy for this price. I feel limited on my usage of this toy because of needing the assistance of a partner for use and it being attached to a cord. As much as I do enjoy this toy, I do not think I would pay this much for another one of this type.
Performance
I was worried about how hot the Magic Wand would get with all the warnings on it, but have not had that issue yet. The longest I’ve continuously used it is about 20 minutes and have not had any issues. I prefer to find a spot placed on the vulva area that seems to be giving the most pleasure and just leave it there. The rumbling gets me to climax every time using it this way. As long as I have a partner holding it there for me. This is one of the easiest use toys I have.
Packaging
The packaging was extremely simple — just a rectangle white and blue box explaining what the toy is. I enjoyed the simplicity of this. It was super easy to get to the toy without any hassle. The plastic holding the toy in place was limited to just that purpose. Nothing extra that was just in the way. There was a picture of the toy on the box, so it was very straightforward and there was no confusion on what I was purchasing.
Materials and care
I clean the Magic Wand by using a “sex toy” spray I have and just a washcloth. This toy is not waterproof and should not be submerged or even held under the faucet. Because of the hard plastic and vinyl on the head, it is very easy to wipe down. I store it in my nightstand drawer. It does take up most of the room in that drawer. It did not come with any other type of storage accommodation. I would have liked to see it come with a bag, even a small one that could slip over the head.
