Design

The design of the MYHIXEL II is simple yet elegant. The textured exterior allows for easy gripping and the gold heating lid adds a touch of pizzazz to the over all design. The inclusion of closable vent holes was a nice addition as previous iterations used a screw cap similar to other mass market masturbators. The overall design is well thought out and nice enough that you can leave it out on your night stand and no one will think that its a masturbatory medical device.

The MyHixel: User Convenience Reviewed

If you have ever connected a Bluetooth speaker to your phone you can get started with the MYHIXEL Control. The app is easy enough to start and navigate through. Once inside you need to connect the masturbator to the MYHIXEL Play app and then you can start "playing". The procedure for each lesson is explained in detail down to what muscles you need to try and relax or contract to help with various sensations. There is a timer that counts you down and then the level starts. Once you've "finished" you stop the timer and if you've beaten your previous time by a selected margin you can advance to the next level. Repeating the levels multiple times and progressively beating your score will unlock more benefits like recipes and workouts that will help you along the way. The MYHIXEL Control is fairly advanced but explained in a simple enough way that even a beginner could handle it.

The MyHixel: Quality vs Expectation

The MYHIXEL Control is definitely made of premium materials. The rubberized outside and the metallic gold heating cap give it a premium look and feel. The TPE sleeve is stretchy and soft and the internal texture and pattern are nice but lack any major protrusions so some may find that part lacking. The vibrator motor inside is the weakest part of the entire package. You do notice it but since it sits on the outside of the TPE sleeve and there is too much material for you to feel any major vibrations. As far as sound is concerned, you can barely hear the vibrations. The instruction videos on the app will easily be the loudest part.

The Price of MyHixel

At $300 the MYHIXEL Control is definitely not cheap, but considering it is marketed as a medical device I think the price can be justified. When you consider it is more of a program that includes lessons, coaching, meal suggestions and exercise routines the cost doesn't seem as daunting. If you are interested in the masturbator only , that can be purchased separately as well for $150. The premium build materials and packaging also add to the overall value of the MYHIXEL Control. But if you suffer from PE it seems like a no brainer.

Sensory Exploration: Evaluating the MyHixel’s Performance

I wasn't sure what to expect at first with the MYHIXEL Control but the MYHIXEL Play app does a good job of explaining what is going to happen and what you need to aim for in each lesson. As previously stated, most lessons have have you focus on the muscle groups associated with ejaculation or getting close to climax and relaxing back down to get a better understanding of your body before and during ejaculation. The built in heater did a good job of increasing the temperature of the sleeve a little but it did not get as warm as Fleshlight Sleeve Warmer I previously tested. The same could be said about the built in vibration feature. It was noticeable but barely. The built in vent ports made it easy to change the suction while going through the lessons and made a huge different in the overall sensation. Recharging took 2-3 hours with the included magnetic USB-A charger which is not super fast but when you consider all of the electronics in the unit that isn't surprising.

Packaging of the MyHixel

The packaging with the MYHIXEL Control was topnotch. The matte black box with gold accents and heavy cardboard that folded open was discreet and had a premium feel to it. Everything was labeled and displayed clearly and nicely. They also included a quick start guide in the shipping box which was helpful but appeared to be for an older version of the product. Inside you received the MYHIXEL Control masturbator, a magnetic USB-A charger, instructions manual and registration cards to access the app.

Materials and care

The MYHIXEL II is a decent size but still feels fairly light even though it packs in so many electronics. The TPE sleeve was very squishy and textured nicely inside although there could have been a little more for my liking. Cleaning the unit after use was easy enough. Remove the sleeve and clean with warm soapy water and let air dry. If the shell needs to be cleaned it needs to be wiped clean and no water or liquid needs to get on the inside as that could ruin the electronics inside the unit. Once everything is dry place the sleeve back in the shell insert the heating lid and store it.

Special feature

The MYHIXEL Control program has several features that set it apart from the competition. When you look at the masturbator, the MIHIXEL II, one of the main features is the built in heater.  To have everything built into one nice looking package was a huge plus and definitely added to the experience. I feel the MYHIXEL Play app is also worth mentioning as it is very user friendly and having access to the built in timer makes getting through the lessons that much easier.
