Why I Chose It
Tim tested the Lovense Edge 2 for us and had nothing but good things to say about it, saying it is “a must have in your toy collection” further expanding that it “shot straight into my mine and my partner’s top 3 toys to play with.”.
He was beyond impressed with the app-controlled features and the long-distance options.
Both he and his partner had a blast exploring everything it had to offer.
Just like Tim, I’m a big fan of this prostate massager. Having personally tested the Lovense app, it’s a great addition to add a whole new world of options during play (long distance control, custom vibrations, and much more).
As an expert, one thing that is critically important in almost all porstate massagers, is that they have an adjustable neck. The Lovense Edge has that, and it will always be a win in my book.
I think it might take a while for complete beginners to prostate massagers to get used to it. In my experience a bit of practice makes it worth it!
Best for Beginners Aneros Helix Trident
- Manual prostate massager
- Small beginner-friendly size with a slightly tapered tip
- “Hooked” base allows you to rock the massager back and forth by flexing your pelvic floor muscles
Specifications
Pros
- ✅ A great beginner toy
- ✅ Ergonomic shape for manual stimulation
- ✅ Wearable
- ✅ Firm stimulation with the hard ABS plastic
Cons
- ❌ The two tabs on the base can cause irritation after a while
- ❌ Reaching prostate pleasure with this product can take some practice
Why I Chose It
Our tester, Moe Lawn, has at this point tested well over +20 different prostate massagers, and a TON of Aneros products among those.
The reason I chose this as the best for beginners is because it was Moe’s first, and “continues, to this day, to be a great one” for him.
As a sex toy expert, I know that finding a good beginner toy is about two things: Buying something that is ‘easy’ to start using, but also that it works for you even as you continue your journey.
According to Moe, The Helix Trident is a perfect match for beginners as it “from the beginning [was] inserted easily, was very comfortable, and keeps me coming back for more.”.
What really settled it for me is that he continues to be a fan of this entry-level prostate massager despite having explored many other Aneros products since then.
As the Helix Trident is manual he does note that it can take a bit of time to learn how to use your pelvic floor muscles to create motion and stimulation. When you’re got the technique down, it’s apparently very much worth it! And, the reason it works out as a great long-term toy for anyone starting here.
In short it’s a simple prostate massager that won’t overwhelm you as you begin your journey towards prostate pleasure. It’s a great size for beginners but also a great shape for delivering impressive sensations to even seasoned prostate players!
The small bulbous head puts just enough pressure on the prostate while the slim neck makes it super comfortable to leave in for a while.
Budget-Friendly Mantric P-Spot Probe Vibrator
- Handheld prostate massage with handle
- LED panel on the handle show the vibration settings
- The flared base in the middle features a nubby texture
Vibrations
Specifications
Pros
- ✅ Wide array of vibration modes to choose from
- ✅ Sleek and neutral design
- ✅ 100% waterproof
Cons
- ❌ Does not provide super targeted prostate massage
- ❌ Not wearable
- ❌ No perineum stimulation
Why I Chose It
To preface this choise, I’ve primarily chosen hands-free prostate massagers for this list.
But, if you really want to get a great budget-friendly option , then this manual one will save you quite a bit (no need for remotes or special complicated designs that run up the price).
We had Jesse test the Mantric, and the amount of power he reported it had, made it the undeniably strongest manual prostate massager of all the ones we’ve tested at Bedbible.
He enjoyed the many vibrations settings this little device had to offer.
Personally I think it’s a pretty genious design on paper to show the vibration mode with colours, as it’s easy to remember your favorite mode by it’s color as Jesse did with “turquoise is my favourite”. But, a downside of that (is of course with any) that he “would have to remove the toy to” see the colour.
He did mention that it didn’t quite hit the spot (yes, literally!). Compared to other prostate toys he has used before, the shape of the Mantric P-Spot Probe didn’t seem to target the prostate as intensely.
The reason of this, is that it’s not angled enought to really target the p-spot – but you can manually do so. I actually think it’s a good idea that it isn’t angled, as you would otherwise have a problem relieving the pressure. And, because of the rather large size, insertion would also be harder.
Overall Jesse “thoroughly enjoyed the Mantric P-spot Vibrator, multiple times!”, and thinks “It’s a brilliant sex toy” with “a great variety of vibration settings.”.
Expert Pick Lelo Loki Wave 2
- Rabbit-style vibrating prostate massager
- Features a large, bulbous shaft with a tapered tip and a smaller external arm to stimulate the perineum
- The WaveMotion technology/ “come-hither” motion provides a more natural finger-like sensation
Vibrations
Specifications
Pros
- ✅ Sleek design and high-end feel
- ✅ Satisfying size of the shaft
- ✅ Powerful vibrations
- ✅ The "come-hither" motion feels natural and unique
- ✅ Strong dual stimulation
Cons
- ❌ Loud
- ❌ Vibrations get buzzy on higher settings
- ❌ The smaller head could be more flexible
- ❌ Can't be used hands-free
Why I Chose It
I picked the Lelo Loki Wave 2 as a sex expert pick because I think this is a unique and powerful prostate toy that many users will deeply enjoy! I was really interested in what innovative wave technology feels like, so I got one for my partner, who was really pleased with it! The “come-hither” motion stimulates the prostate in a completely different way than any other prostate vibrators he’s ever tried. Also, the shaft shape is quite bulbous and nicely tapered at the tip, which provides a nice filling sensation that feels satisfying but comfortable, even for less advanced users. Its vibrations are powerful, and even the external arm delivers a nice buzz, so quality-wise, I rate it 10/10.
Even though my partner enjoyed his experience with this powerful prostate massager, I have some notes. Firstly, the Lelo Loki Wave 2 isn’t the easiest for solo play, and hands-free play would be very hard to achieve. All the control buttons are placed on the handle, which might be hard to reach in certain positions, so it’s much better to use with a partner. I wish a remote or app control was added to this toy; it would make it much more accessible and easier to use.
Most Powerful We-Vibe Vector+
- App-compatible prostate massager (controls customized vibration patterns + long-distance features)
- Dual motors designs ensures powerful vibrations both internal and external
- Tapered tip and slim neck makes the We-Vibe Vector+ beginner-friendly
- Rigid silicone build
- Adjustable neck/head and the flexible base
Vibrations
Specifications
Pros
- ✅ Easy to use app
- ✅ Powerful vibrations
- ✅ Beginner-friendly size
- ✅ Wearable and comfortable
Cons
- ❌ Pricey
- ❌ Might be too small for more advanced users
Why I Chose It
Robby had a great experience testing out the We-Vibe Vector+ for us, having tested other prostate massagers as well.
His concluding remarks says it all, I beleive: “I love this toy and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a prostate vibrator that is high tech, comfortable, extremely portable, and well designed.”
He pointed out that being able to adjust the neck allowed him to find the perfect positions.
The overall design of it also just made it breeze to insert while still putting the perfect amount of pressure of the prostate and perineum.
He was also really stunned with the We-Vibe app, saying: “I am a complete slut for the We-Vibe app and it’s innumerous personal settings each user can cater to themselves with.”.
As an expert I will add here that we’ve had testers in the past experience technical difficulties with the app. However, recently those bugs have been fixed. Generally speaking, the Lovense app seems to be better if you really value using the app-features.
I wanted to include this on the list as I’m really impressed by the sensations it delivers and the raw level of power in the vibrations!
One thing I also want to highlight is the slightly lifted perinium base that flats out at the end, this adds to the pressure on the prostate by using a flatter/wider pressure on the perinium. This means two things, a higher pressure, and less irritation about the pressure on the perinium.
Another thing that enhanced the feeling of how powerful the vibrations are.
It is simply the strongest vibrations out of all the products on this list.
The deep vibrations from the Vector+ just provide a whole other sensation to your prostate stimulation than manual massage or rotations do. It’s a massive upgrade from the old Vector that we’ve also tested.
Best Rotating Nexus Revo Stealth Prostate Massager
- Rotating shaft for intense prostate massage
- 2 speeds of rotation and 2 possible rotation directions
- Thick vibrating base provides some textured stimulation to the perineum
- Wearable design for hands-free fun
- Slim yet satisfying shape for targeted P-spot massage
Vibrations
Specifications
Pros
- ✅ Intense prostate stimulation
- ✅ Vibration and rotation can be turned on and off independently
- ✅ Charge lasts a long time
- ✅ Great for foreplay
Cons
- ❌ Magnetic charger is not super strong
- ❌ Heavy base will cause the toy to slip out in most positions and can't be sat upon
- ❌ Not great for versitile sex positions
Why I Chose It
As I’ve already disclosed, Moe, who tested the Nexo Revo Stealth, is our utmost expert on prostate massagers. And, when he says that the Stealth is the “automatic prostate stimulator to buy if you only want to buy one” I trust that statement, a lot!
So, why isn’t it the test winner? Well, because those automatic movements (rotations, thrusting, or come-hither) cater to very specific needs.
As Moe says, automatic movements is typically for those that don’t want “to do the work yourself”. But, he also does admit that trying the rotational movement of the Stealth slightly changed his mind about it.
He does admit that he’s “enjoy pleasure I’ve not felt from a mechanical prostate massager”. So, albeit the handheld, manual or hands-free options is what most goes for. The automatic prostate massagers is nothing to sneeze at!
And, the Nexus Revo Stealth is best in class!
Best for Manual Massage nJoy Pure Wand Stainless Steel Dildo
- Very curved metal dildo
- Weighted, rigid material, very firm manual massage
- Double-ended design for different sizes and angles
- Stainless steel is temperature responsive (temperature play)
Specifications
Pros
- ✅ The weight of metal adds more pressure on the P-spot
- ✅ Firm and filling sensation
- ✅ Versatile use
- ✅ Works well with any kind of lube
Cons
- ❌ Can be a bit pricey
- ❌ Can get slippery when using lube
Why I Chose It
Isabelle tested the nJoy Pure Wand and wrote her review based on using it vaginally for G-spot stimulation.
Although a lot of the same feedback is also relevant for P-spot owners!
She really loved how intense the massage is with the metal dildo. It has completely changed the way she views G-spot stimulation and manual massage of that internal sweet spot.
Isabelle found that due to the “weight distribution and curve” it doesn’t require “all of the hard work” to get that “deep stimulation exactly where you want it”.
What is so great is that you “only have to apply minimal pressure to get some incredibly intense sensations.”.
In fact in my expert opinion, this is by far the prostate massager you can get the highest pressure on the P-spot from. Even with limited effort.
Another great aspect is the curved design that “really opens up the range of movements you can make as well” especially those “come hither motion that so many […] p-spots love!”.
As a sex toy review site, we’ve seen SO many people rave about the nJoy pure wand, but I will say that beginners should thread carefully before applying a lot of pressure. Using hard materials like steel or glass you’re generally better off going slow and easy at first!
This is likely better for someone who enjoys manual massage instead of vibrations or rotations!

If You’re Looking For…
- The best prostate massagers for manual massage – I recommend checking out the njoy Pure Wand or the Aneros Helix Trident.
- The best prostate massagers for intense vibrations – Have a look at the Lovense Edge 2 or the Mantric P-spot Probe.
Types of Prostate Massagers
Depending on your needs or personal preference, you might need to know exactly what type of prostate massager you’re looking for. They offer different kinds of stimulation, different intensities, some are suitable for hands-free fun and wearable, and others are great for couples’ play. Let’s have a look!
Manual
If you’re looking for the perfect beginner prostate massage toy then you’ll likely begin your journey with a manual prostate massager. These can be large or small prostate massager toys, but they all require manual input to provide stimulation.
Vibrating
Depending on the model, vibrating prostate massagers can be operated by buttons on the device itself or by using a provided remote control. These often offer a higher level of internal stimulation.
Anal Plug
An anal plug is a type of anal toy that’s designed to be inserted, sitting in place inside of your anus. While smaller models may simply provide the “full” feeling that you’re after, larger models with more reach can stimulate your prostate.
Remote Controlled
While many often feature buttons on the device itself, having the ability to use a remote lets you enjoy the toy without your hands constantly getting in the way!
What to Look for in Prostate Massagers
Before we start to get into the toys themselves, let’s briefly go over what you should be considering when looking for a beginner prostate toy. There are quite a few things that you’ll want to keep in mind!
Step 1
First, you need to consider the size of the toy itself. That includes both the diameter (thickness) and the length of the toy. If you’ve never experimented with anal toys before, you may be tempted to choose the thinnest option. Don’t do that. Instead, use your fingers to get a rough idea of how big of a toy you’ll be able to comfortably accommodate. This will prevent you from purchasing a toy that you quickly outgrow!
Step 2
Next, you’ll want to consider the shape of the toy. Some toys (like plugs) are shaped in a way that allows them to stay in place once inserted. Other toys (such as probers) are shaped in a way that allows you to easily move and position the toy, making them more suitable for active stimulation. For toys that stay in place, you’ll want to ensure the toy(s) in question have a flared base. This will prevent them from slipping up inside your anus, which would require an unpleasant trip to the ER.
Step 3
After sizing and shape considerations, you’ll want to start thinking about materials and functionality. Non-porous materials like silicone can be completely sterilized but generally cost more, whereas porous materials are cheaper but impossible to sterilize. In terms of functionality, some toys feature additional functions like vibrations, travel locks, or rechargeable internal batteries. Don’t forget to consider these goodies as well!
Alright, now that you have a general idea of what to look out for (and think about) when buying a beginner prostate toy, let’s start looking at the options!
How to Find the Best Prostate Massager for You
As you can tell from this review, there are lot of differet types of prostate massagers out there! It can be difficult to know which one might be best for you and your needs. There are lot of factors to consider. So, here’s a thorough guide to finding the best prostate massager for you.
Stimulation Mode
Consider how you would like your prostate to be massaged – there are so many options! Do you enjoy manual stimulation by your own (or your partner’s) hand? Do you like firm or soft stimulations? Strong vibrations or a slight tapping motion? Perhaps you might be a fan of a rotating shaft to press up against your prostate!
Plugs VS Handheld Toy
Some of the prostate massagers in this review are plugs that will stay in place by themselves during use. Others have handles with which you’re suppposed to manually massage your prostate. If you like being able to move the toy around yourself, a handheld toy is probably more enjoyable to you. Although handheld prostate massagers also tend to be more heavy duty products, whereas the plugs are often smaller and lighter.
If you’re planning on using the prostate massager during sex or wearing it about the house, I would definitely opt for something that plugs in and stays in place.
Extra Stimulation
Do you usually enjoy stimulation around the perineum or scrotum? Finding the perfect prostate massager for you might include a secondary motor or “arm” that will sit snugly against your perineum and be able to send delicious sensations to your perineum and scrotum.
Materials
It’s important to always go for products with 100% body safe materials when it comes to insertables. The best prostate massagers will be made of non-porous materials like silicone, ABS plastic, glass or metal.
Rechargeability
Of course, this isn’t super relevant if you’re going for a manual prostate massager. But if you’re going for something with a motor, it’s important for consider it’s rechargeability. I would definitely recommend getting a rechargeable toy over something that runs of batteries. Consider whether you’re looking for something that has a long battery life or need something with a shorter charging time.
Size
Are you a complete anal beginner or are you looking for a fulfilling feeling suitable for someone more experienced? Knowing which size you are comfortable with anally will definitely help find out which prostate massager you should go for! When it comes to anal, my tip is to always start out small and work your way up. Luckily, a lot of prostate massagers will deliver a wonderful massage regardsless of size!
Design
While all prostate massagers claim to have the absolute best ergonomic design to hit all those sweet spots, there is no one recipe for that. Everybody’s body is different. Some toys might hit different spots for different people.
You can consider which types of shapes and designs you might respond well too. A beaded shaft, something super curved, or something with a tapered tip?
Remote Control
If having your hands freed up or letting your partner easily control your pleasure is important to you during sex, then getting a remote controlled prostate massager might be a good option for you. If you like to enjoy different vibrations settings at different times during use, it can be nice not having to reach for the buttons all the time. That said, products with a remote control can be a bit more expensive, so if you find you don’t really have the need for one, you should perhaps opt for one without.
What Exactly is the Prostate (Male G-Spot) Again?
The prostate is a small gland located between the bladder and the penis also called the male P-spot. It is important to the production of sperm, secreting a fluid that provides nourishment and protection to seamen. Given its close proximity, the prostate can be stimulated via the rectum.
The prostate contains almost as many nerve endings as the clitoris, making it very receptive to external stimulation.
What?
The prostate is a walnut sized gland in (born) male bodies. The prostate gland is very sensitive, and used in the human body to nourish and transport sperm. Another important function of the prostate gland is, that it helps close the urinal tube during ejaculation. You don’t want to mix those two.
Where?
It is accessible anally, and sits up towards the stomach just below the bladder. It is situated close to, and around the tube that drains urine from the bladder. That is also why prostate massaging and milking can be beneficial to help against male incontinence.
How?
When playing around with butt stuff on men, you want to “hit that spot” (aka the walnut sized gland), as it will be a new world opening up for them. Any kind of anal penetration ‘runs the risk’ of hitting the prostate. So if you are in the middle of some butt stuff, playing around with your new prostate massager, and you feel something very good. Then that is very likely your walnut sized gland called the prostate.
