Why I Chose It
I selected the Maia Kendall Dildo as the Test Winner of this review because of it’s overall quality, versatility, and impressive size. The flared base makes it suitable for anal play, strap-on fun, and even for hands-free riding with the suction cup. Basically, you can use it anyway you like which makes it a winner in my eyes. All of this in combination with the curved tip for targeted g-spot stimulation, adds up to a great all-rounder ribbed dildo.
Our tester, Jenay, was really impressed with the overall quality. As far as the design goes, she “loved the way it had a slight curve to it. It was really able to hit all the right spots whilst being easy to hold and maneuver”.
Compared to most other silicone dildo, this is is quite firm to the touch. While I really like that the ribbed design isn’t too overwhelming because of the smooth ridges, it still feels satisfying because of the firmness. The firmness combined with the size may prove to be a bit overwhelming for some, and I “recommend warming up a bit before getting into it”. It boasts a large length and girth so I think it’s fair to say it’s most suitable for someone with a bit of experience with using dildos.

What makes it stand out is the firmness. This unyielding material is amazing for deep internal massage of the g-spot, a-spot, or p-spot. The pronounced head really adds to that sensation as well.

Now, I also wanted to include a ribbed dildo that is suitable for beginners. For that, I went looking for a slimmer dildo with a less intense ribbed effect. Preferably something slightly flexible as well. Luckily, the Tantus Charmer is the perfect match. In comparison to other products from Tantus, like the Tantus Curve or the Tantus Cush, the Tantus Charmer’s unique ridged texture and beginner-friendly size make it a distinct choice for those seeking a combination of subtlety and stimulation.
While our tester, Isabelle, initially bought it for vaginal use, she quickly found that it was better suited for anal play. In terms of design, “the slightly larger head and slimmer shaft feel great anally, but left me wanting a fuller feeling when using vaginally”. While this may be the case for experienced users, I think this petite feel is perfect for newbies.
I also believe that it feels great as an anal dildo because of how slim the shaft is around the base. This means that you’ll feel the fullness of the dildo inside without stretching your anus too wide during penetration.
It is pretty simple and easy to use, although the only main drawback for me is that “it doesn’t have a suction cup base, which would open up a whole more options for positions and hands-free riding”.

The Gläs Purple Rain Dildo is a great way to pay around with ribbed sensations without breaking the bank. Because of the double-ended design, I actually think you’re getting a lot of bang for your buck with this one.
Our tester, Mike, had a great experience using it with his wife. He concluded that it’s a great option for “someone who is looking for a simple yet functional glass dildo, who either is particularly interested in something with ridges or wants something on the narrower side”.
Even though it is on the smaller size in terms of diameter, it’s certainly not unsatisfying. So while it may not “deliver the satisfying sensation of ‘fullness’ on its own, it transforms into an excellent accomplice when paired with oral or manual techniques”.
One small pro I’d like to point out is that this product, despite being the cheapest on this list, it’s the only one that actually offers a storage bag for it! This is great for glass dildos that are a bit less durable than silicone or metal dildos.

This is my top recommendation for anyone looking for a large ribbed dildo or someone who just loves a dildo with an unconventional, slightly fantastical design. I actually had the pleasure of testing out the Creature Cocks Mystique Unicorn Dildo myself. I was surprised to see that this seemingly spiraled design both looked and felt more ribbed in person. The texture is super plump which makes the sensation a lot more prominent compared to some of the other ribbed dildos in this review.
Yes, this is definitely a thick dildo and I would only recommend it to those who feel comfortable with and enjoy girth. The gradually increased size as you work your way down the shaft is great for two reasons. First of all, you can go at your own pace and stop at whichever girth you’re comfortable with. Secondly, this is a great feature for exploring vaginal or anal stretching.
The suction cup on this dildo is incredibly strong! It will suction to most flat surfaces and stay in place during even the most vigorous hands-free riding.
One thing to be aware of is that the surface of the toy easily attracts dust, lint, and hair. This just means you have to give it a thorough rinse before using it, but it would have been nice if there was a storage bag included to avoid this.
