The Not-So-Hearty First Impression
I enjoy a little spanking game from time to time, but I am far from a pro. That’s why I was looking for a simple, beginner-friendly crop. I also prefer cuter and less intimidating designs; that’s why I was drawn to the Sportsheets Heart Impression Crop. Sadly, my first experience with my crop wasn’t as positive as I expected because the top of the crop fell off as soon as I touched it. Well, that wasn’t the best introduction to my night, but it didn’t ruin it. I put it back on, and surprisingly, it stayed on great, so I decided to treat it as a detachable part instead.Heartfelt Impact
What I loved just as I expected was the cut-out heart design and the leather-like feel and look. Even though the heart didn’t leave a heart imprint on the skin like advertised, I didn’t mind. It’s more about the look that I care about, and I have no complaints about the design! I mostly used it for mild teasing and some gentler spanking, but it also worked great for stronger slaps. This spanking toy is flexible yet stiff enough to deliver a nice, slightly sting sensation, and the loop handle gave a little more confidence with taking bigger swings. Unfortunately, the Sportsheets Heart Impression Crop wasn’t as well-made as I expected. The faux leather part fell off as soon as I opened the package. I could see that the glue was completely dry, so I am not sure if that was the manufacturer’s fault or if it’s been sitting at the warehouse for a long time. Anyway, it shouldn’t have happened. Luckily, it still works even without the glue, but I was a bit afraid to take full swings and explore more intense play as I feared the top would fall off and I would hurt my partner. For gentler play, it worked nicely.
Price
Despite the not-highest quality of the Heart Impression Crop, I think its price is okay. The faux leather is pretty thick, which feels nice. Sportsheets toys are usually on the more budget-friendly side, and they are definitely designed for those new to BDSM, so I didn’t expect a heavy-duty accessory.
