Tracey Cox Supersex Sex Position Card Deck Review

Personal Experience

The Tracey Cox Sex Position Card Deck wasn’t something I was immediately drawn to, but I was pleasantly surprised once I opened it up! The cards really explain things well, and the large format, while it does have a bit of a ‘kid’s flashcards’ look, makes everything easier to see when the card is on the bed next to you. As my partner and I browsed through the positions on the various cards, I definitely felt inspiration strike.

Design

Despite the 'children's flashcards' vibe, I quite like the design of these cards. They're sturdy and shiny, and the photos and text are very clear, even when you're in the middle of things. Like other products from the Tracey Cox range, they have a big black and hot pink aesthetic going on, which is not my favorite, but at least the design is still fairly classy.

Ease of Use

Of course, the ease of use will depend a lot on the position you pick! However, I like that they have both visual and written instructions for you to follow, along with an explanation of what it is supposed to focus on, so you can readjust yourself if, for example, your clit is not being stimulated in the way its supposed to be. However, some of these positions get quite complicated or physically demanding, so if you don't think you're going to be able to do a lot of them, you might prefer to give this set a miss and just look up a couple of positions online.

Quality

I was really expecting these to be of a lower quality than what I received! The box is very nice and sturdy, and the cards seem like they'll last a long time! This is no cheap deck of playing cards — there's definitely been a good amount of thought that's gone into their design and manufacturing.

Price

At $20, this is not the cheapest method of finding new sex positions to explore. However, most other, cheaper sets, don't have the same level of detail and explanation that the Tracey Cox deck does. Most have illustrations rather than photos, which look nice, but can be less clear than looking at two actual people. If you feel like you're interested in exploring new positions again and again with your partner, I would definitely recommend checking them out.

Performance

These cards aren't going to be something we break out every time, but I don't doubt that they'll make an appearance now and then when we feel like switching things up. I was especially curious about trying out some of the 'We're different sizes' cards, since there is a bit of a height difference between my partner and I, and we've struggled a bit with that in the past.

Packaging

The box that these cards come in is pretty nice! Made from thick cardboard, it has a lid that slides on and off with a satisfying noise, and keeps the cards well protected. It does say "hot sex deck" on the front with a photo of a couple having sex, so it's certainly not discreet, but it's still small enough that it could sit in a nightstand drawer until you're ready to play.

Materials and care

Both the cards and the box are made from printed cardboard. Although they're nice and shiny and sturdy, they aren't waterproof, and you should take care not to get them wet! However, small amounts should be easy to wipe off quickly.
