My Experience With We-Vibe Wand

I knew I was going to love the Wand by We-Vibe. I love wand vibrators, and I love We-Vibe’s products (especially the Tango!) So I had a hunch this combination of two wonderful things would not disappoint. And oh, was I right! As soon as I switched the Wand on, I couldn’t believe the sheer power rumbling through it. I know my body well enough, after testing hundreds of sex toys, to know what will work for me, and I immediately knew the Wand by We-Vibe would be a winner.

Design

There's a lot to love about the Wand by We-Vibe's design. The broad head offers all-over stimulation, which flattens at the top with a ridge that allows for more direct pressure. The neck is a little flexible, but not so much as to be problematic if you like plenty of pressure. The inclusion of two attachments is an especially nice touch, offering different ways to use and enjoy the product no matter what type of body you have. The curved handle is comfortable and ergonomic to hold. The Wand by We-Vibe is a gorgeous plum purple color and adorned with a decorative pink band at the base of the neck.

Ease of Use

The controls are intuitively placed for easy use on the back of the handle, close to where the user's hand naturally sits. I love that the We-Vibe Wand is joystick controllable, as this allows for an extra level of control over the exact speed. The buttons are simple: an on/off button, a button to scroll through the 10 vibration modes, and then the little joystick to control speed. My big complaint in the ease-of-use department is that it's so heavy. This could be a real problem for people with certain disabilities or who suffer from pain in their hands or wrists. Connecting your Wand to the free We-Connect app offers interesting different avenues of play, especially if you have a long-distance partner (as it can be connected from anywhere in the world). The app is simple to use, but response times are slow, which is frustrating.

Quality

The Wand by We-Vibe is an impressively well-made product. It is made of high-quality materials and feels solid and well put together. I've had mine for over 2 years and it has withstood regular use brilliantly and still functions like new!

Price

The Wand by We-Vibe is expensive, retailing for $179. Though it's a high-quality toy, this is still a significant price-tag, especially for those new to toys or on a budget. For this price, I would have also liked to see a storage bag included. That said, the Wand is built to last and comes with two quality attachments, so I can't complain about the value too much.

Performance

The Wand by We-Vibe is a product that gets the job done. Its incredibly powerful, rumbly vibrations are seriously impressive and knock my socks off every single time. If you like rumbles and lots of them, you can't go wrong with the Wand. And, since the Wand is rechargeable, you don't have to deal with power outlets or any annoying power cords trailing across your bed! You get about 90 minutes use out of a full charge with the Wand. Given the level of power, it's even relatively quiet. Unlike some wand vibes I've tried, this one doesn't sound like a small power tool!

Packaging

The Wand by We-Vibe came in an attractive box with a picture of the toy on the front. With that said, it contained what I'd consider to be an excessive amount of packaging. In a world where we are trying to cut down on single-use materials and most of them will be thrown away, I would like to see companies switch to a more eco-friendly way of presenting toys.

Materials and care

The Wand by We-Vibe is made of beautiful and silky-smooth matte silicone. Silicone is body-safe, non-porous, and built to last. You can also use it with all lubricants except silicone-based lubes. The included attachments are also made of silicone, this time in a pretty turquoise color. You can clean your Wand using warm water and gentle soap or a sex toy cleaner. Clean the attachments in the same way.

Special feature

Though the app functionality and bonus features such as Smart Silence are impressive, the sheer power of the Wand by We-Vibe is its outstanding feature. Whenever I choose rechargeable toys as opposed to plug-in toys, I feel as though I am compromising on power in exchange for convenience. Thanks to this product, that is no longer the case.
