My Impressions of the We-Vibe Moxie

I have such mixed feelings about the Moxie! When I took it out of the box I really loved the design and the silicone felt so buttery and smooth. Turning it on, I was impressed by the power that came out of such a small vibrator, and I was happy to see it had We-Vibe’s signature rumbly vibrations. Overall, great first impression, and I was excited to try it out.

For ‘lingerie play’

First up, I much prefer the term lingerie play to panty vibrator — the word panty gives me a serious ick, so thank you to We-Vibe for that! It was super easy to attach the device to my underwear and adjust it to get it in the right position, with the bump resting against my clitoris. However, when you stand up and start moving around, gravity comes into play and the device doesn’t maintain close contact with the body. The best way I found to minimize this is to wear some tight underwear that really hugs your body, but even then, you don’t get the full intensity of the toy’s vibrations.

I tried doing a little yoga while wearing the Moxie and found that different movements pushed the Moxie tighter against my body, giving an unexpected boost of stimulation, which was actually quite fun! It’s also a fun addition to partner play — if you are going down on your partner, for example.

I found it was much easier to get consistent stimulation when sitting down, as you can use your legs to hug the device into your body. This is a great toy if you enjoy grinding stimulation, as you can wear while straddling a pillow or rolled-up towel.

For public play

So public play isn’t my thing at all, but I know lots of people who look at the Moxie will want it for this reason. On the lower settings, you could totally get away with wearing the Moxie anywhere with a bit of background noise, but the higher levels might give away your little secret. I measured the volume of the device on the higher settings and it was around 45 dB in hand and around 35 bB when it was in place under my clothes. If you need a super quiet discreet vibrator to wear on a date, for example, this might not be the best option, I would actually recommend an internal vibrator, like an egg vibrator, as your body acts like sound insulation.

The WeConnect App

It was quick and painless to connect the device to the app (I already had the app set up from a previous toy, so that helped), and it was much easier than when I used it last time. The app is easy to navigate and I could use all of the features without any issues. They didn’t really do a lot for me though, and I think I will only be using it when I want to play long-distance. I also think the app has improved since the last time I tried it as it seems to hold connection a lot better.

How is the We-Vibe Moxie designed

I love everything about how the We-Vibe Moxie looks and feels. The smooth shape feels fantastic and nestles comfortably between your labia, with no harsh edges. I also love the unique aqua color — it's SO great to have a gender-neutral design, and it's infinitely nicer than the pink, sparkly, jelly panty vibrators of days gone by. It also comes in black if you prefer. Another smart feature of the design is the magnet clip that holds the device in your pants — the magnet is pretty strong so the device doesn't move or slip, and you get a spare one in case you lose it! However, the magnet design doesn't work so well you are standing or walking as the toy isn't held firmly against your body.

The We-Vibe Moxie: User Convenience

There are two ways to control the We-Vibe Moxie — the remote control and the app. Pairing the device with the app was very straightforward and it was pretty responsive. I probably won't use the app to control the device when I'm using it alone as I find it too distracting and am not a massive fan of different patterns. The remote control works fine but I'm not a big fan of the design. It feels a little cheap and doesn't match the luxurious feel of the device itself, although the plain, white design means you can't tell that it's a sex toy remote, which is great if you want to use it out and about. Another thing that bothered me was that the remote doesn't have any markings to tell you what the buttons do, making it easy to accidentally change the pattern when you want to change the intensity. The last moan about the remote is the buttons make a loud click when you press them and that annoys me, but that might just be me being very fussy.

Quality

The device itself is very well made and feels like it is built to last. The silicone is incredibly soft, it almost feels creamy! There are no irritating seams or bits that rattle and the magnet stays in place well. I was a little bit disappointed by the plastic remote which feels a little flimsy and less luxurious.

Price of the We-Vibe Moxie

It's definitely not one of the cheapest panty vibrators out there, but I do think the We-Vibe Moxie is in a completely different class to other panty vibrators (except maybe the Lovense Ferri). If you really love hands-free stimulation and want a quality wearable vibrator that you can wear wherever you go, I would say this is one of the better options out there. However, after testing it out, I probably wouldn't buy this for myself. It's fun, but not worth the investment for me personally.

Does it Deliver on Pleasure?

The Moxie is small but mighty and has some powerful rumbly vibrations. The only problem is that it is difficult to get the full effect of the vibrations unless you hold the device against your body, which negates the selling point of it being hands-free. The other issue is that the higher settings get pretty loud and are likely to be heard if you are using it anywhere with people in close proximity unless there's a lot of background noise.

There's not too much to say about the packaging — it has a simple but stylish design, and it's made of thick cardboard, so it's great for storing all of the bits that come with it.

How to care for the We-Vibe Moxie

The device itself is made of silicone and is completely waterproof, meaning it's easy to wash with some fragrance-free soap and warm water or a sex toy cleaner. The remote control isn't waterproof, so if you are planning on using this in the bath or hot tub, be careful with the remote! Also, you'll want to use water-based lubrication with this toy to protect the silicone.

Special feature

The We-Vibe Moxie is app-enabled, meaning it can be controlled using your smartphone or long distance by a partner who also has the app. This opens up a whole lot of options for long-distance sex or enjoying the Moxie when you are out and about. The app also has some features for the pattern lovers out there! You can create and save custom vibration patterns, control the pattern and intensity by swiping your screen, and set the vibrations to sync to music. It’s also nice that you can see how much battery your device has left.
