My Verdict
The We-Vibe Pivot is a high quality, waterproof, silicone, penis ring with vibrations used to maximize pleasure for both partners. We found as a stand alone item, improvements could be made… however, the app-enabled feature can redeem itself in some aspects. The We-Vibe Pivot test: How it faired
First Impressions
When the We-Vibe Pivot was delivered, even I was surprised to find out what was in the box. I didn’t realize it was going to be arriving that day. When I arrived home there was a regular cardboard shipping box with a white label that had small print. There is no way anyone could have guessed what was in the box — thankfully, because I have kids. Upon opening the package is when I truly realized what I was holding in my hands.First Things First, Charge the Battery!
When I took it out of the package, I knew it was going straight to the charger. I charged it while reading over anything I needed to know. It comes with a short guide with pictures, a safety manual, a USB charging cord (but no block), and a sample size packet of lube. When charging, the magnet was pretty sturdy and held on to the position for charging well. The light will flash until completely charged leaving a solid blue light. If you don’t see a light at all then the charger needs some adjusting. It can take up to 90 minutes for a full charge, which gives 2hrs of playtime.Putting It On
Once charged, my husband and I went to put the Pivot to good use. They recommend placing the ring over a more erect penis. Once erect my husband attempted to put it on without lube (as he prefers to limit use of lube when it’s not truly necessary) but he quickly found out this ring was not going on without any. The guide recommends using a small amount of water-based lube, enough to lubricate the inside of the ring, and then also place a small amount of lube to the shaft of the penis. Once he did that, the toy was easier to place at the base of his shaft. He did complain a bit about the ring feeling a bit small but… it’s a penis ring and is intended to be tight (he later stated that he was pleasantly happy for the added girth/size he gained while engorged). My husband than attempted to turn it on but there were a couple issues right off the bat with that. One, the button is hard to find as it is not a different color and doesn’t have a real bump to know where to press. Two, there was lube on the toy which made pressing the button a bit slippery. I was definitely unable to help with that. Once turned on, my husband was able to press through modes as we used it to see which was most comfortable for him and also pleasurable for the both of us. I did feel like working through this all as first timers made it a bit less enjoyable. I also felt as though the vibrations just didn’t quite seem strong enough for my liking. We ultimately decided to put it up for another day.Special feature… App Enabled!
After our first experience, my husband and I decided we really should have looked into the app feature earlier on but, you live and you learn, right? So, we downloaded the We-Vibe app! Once downloaded, you will choose which toy you have and pair it to your app. The process is very simple and the app will guide you along the way. Once set up you can play with all the functions to see what all you can do. You can choose the vibration patterns, speeds, sync to a recorded or live talking voice, and even sync to music! This app is a must use feature if you have that capability!Putting All the Pieces Together
After getting the app up and running, we gave it a test drive. Well, I learned the hard way… the toy sounded different, and was slower. We barely turned it on for a couple minutes and lo and behold, it died. It is very important with this toy to charge after each use or before you use it, if it has been some time in between uses. This toy is stated to give 2 hours of playtime but we don’t feel that it was used for that duration between night one and learning the app features. Eventually, we got this thing charged and were able to give the whole experience a go.Conclusion
Overall, I felt this toy deserves a good rating, but is not going to be my go-to toy. I felt this is fun to use for some foreplay, teasing, and getting in the mood to take things a bit further. I am glad for the app feature as that really makes this thing what it is. It takes away the guessing game of finding the button, and the anxiety of possibly hurting your partner while doing so. Both partners can share the app play and it’s nice if you wanted to use for solo play. It could even be used on a night out or long distance when your partner is away. It holds many possibilities. At its price point, I do feel it is a bit steep for being more of a tease. But, if money isn’t your worry and teasing is your thing, then this toy has your back!How it’s designed
The We-Vibe Pivot has a nice, simple, yet sleek appearance. It is very basic when it comes to its options for functionality so it does not have a bunch of buttons to press or feel overwhelmed looking at. The size of the hole might appear intimidating for some so there may be hesitation during initial use. Slight improvements could be made but overall it works for myself and my husband.
The We-Vibe Pivot: User Convenience Reviewed
Again, this toy is very basic overall with manual functions. It’s a simple use of one button to turn it on, rotate through vibrations, and turn off. However, I have found that this button is quite difficult to push once on a penis. You do have to press it a little firmly which makes you feel as though you might hurt your partner. My husband felt as though he had to press it firmly but at least he was able to prevent any pain but doing so himself. He did find it to be even trickier when he had lube on his finger or on the button of the toy. I do wish that button was a little easier to press. It may be quite difficult for people who have health issues and difficulty using their fingers. If you have a cellphone with app capabilities, then this may not be too big of an issue for you.
How Well-made is the We-Vibe Pivot?
Quality is one aspect it really doesn’t lack. The material is smooth, it appears pretty sturdy and like it will last a long time. I also know that loud toys are not high on everyone’s list, so this toy hits the spot with that- practically whisper quiet. I really can’t say too much on the con side other than, I wish their power button was easier to see and press. Otherwise, quality is well done.
Evaluating the Pricing of the We-Vibe Pivot
I feel that the price for this toy is a bit steep, more than what I’d want to spend. Comparatively, you can buy other vibrating penis rings for cheaper and be able to enjoy them just as much. What makes this more unique is the app enabled feature. I see why the price is a bit more because of this and it does help with some of the cons- such as the difficult to find and press button, softer vibrations, shorter battery life. However, once you add up those pros and cons I still feel this could have been a bit cheaper before I give it a green light. This will also vary based on your personal preferences. It could be everything that you are looking for in a toy in which this price wouldn’t be steep at all. It is great quality and has nothing but good intentions here.
The Performance of the We-Vibe Pivot
I was truly excited when receiving this toy to review. Again, I love that it is quiet BUT is it quiet because the vibrations aren’t as intense as I like them to be? It felt more of a tease to me, and I was hoping to get in a few O’s with some positions in which I didn’t need to reach down and hold a toy or manually please- I need that outside play too with penetration. This just didn’t quite cut it for me. I did not notice the battery get hot but again, it definitely needs to be charged after each use and if not used frequently, prior to use. Luckily it doesn’t take but 90 minutes max to get a full charge so you can charge in anticipation if needed.
The Art of Presentation: The We-Vibe Pivot’s Packaging
I feel the packaging is mostly great. It is pretty discreet. If you don’t know the brand We-Vibe then you probably wouldn’t even know what this was looking at the front of the box. The box itself feels durable, not flimsy. All the packaging stays in place so the toy cannot move out of its spot and break etc. The only thing I still don’t quite understand is the reason for the ombré color look of the toy in the front of the box. Initially I questioned if it was 2 toned, glowed in the dark, or changed color in water… I’m guessing it’s just for aesthetics purposes?
Exploring the Materials and Care
The material of this toy is wonderful. Everything from the color, to the soft, smooth texture, to the waterproof body-safe, non-porous material, is everything I look for in a toy like this. It is easy to clean, with soap and water, and lacks tiny nooks and crannies so you can wipe it down and let it air dry and put away. I feel that with a toy like this it should have come with a small pouch to store but it’s not a dealbreaker.

The We-Vibe Pivot allows an app enabled feature which really can improve your experience. Set up is simple and gives you easy step by step instructions. Once in the app gives you multiple features to use during play but is also not overwhelming with too much to do. After a few times using this app any beginner can become a pro!
