The Problems

Design

Upon first look the We-Vibe Wand 2 shape is a little off, as the head isn't your standard wand shape, it's round on one side with a pinpointed end as well attached to the handle. However, the entirety of the toy does look luxurious because of the body safe silicone. The buttons are very basic and all centrally located. The curve of the Wand 2 is different from standard wands which allows for more versatility during play whether it be solo or with a partner. I like parts of the design but feel like the vibrations travel too much through the entirety of the wand versus where it truly needs to be. I also feel like the head shape still doesn't really allow for the vibrations to hit spots accurately. I think they could have spent more time on the design.

Ease of Use

The We-Vibe Wand 2 has easy to access buttons located on the handle that don't take much to change a setting. The toy can also be changed in the app if the buttons are too hard to reach or you want easier way to change the setting if you found a more versatile angle. The heaviness of the toy and how long it is might make it difficult for someone with physical limitations like I experienced.

Quality

The We-Vibe Wand 2, despite it being a heavier wand toy, does feel sturdy and made of high quality materials. The body safe silicone feels durable and long lasting. The buttons don't feel like they could easily be broken or stop working with over-use.

Price

The We-Vibe Wand 2 retails on Lovehoney currently for $150 USD (not including shipping), which in my research is similar to what other wands with as many settings or app control feature are currently retailing for. The material and the overall quality is that they will hold up long term for the price. There are no extras in the box except for the charging cord, so I recommend storing it somewhere like a toy box, because with the silicone outside it will attract dust just by sitting around.

Performance

As someone who has experience with wand toys, I came into this with some expectations for the We-Vibe Wand 2. I was intrigued by the design, the versatility and the app control features. However, by the end of my testing I was left disappointed by the vibrations, the shape of the head of the toy and the overall experience with the app. I can't speak to the battery because I haven't had to recharge it yet but I did fully charge it before first use and timing was accurate to what they list on their website. The rumbly vibrations would be fine if they stayed in the head of the Wand 2 versus traveling the whole length of the toy and into your arm.

Packaging

The packaging for the We-Vibe Wand 2 is very standard for wand toys, front features a picture of the toy while the back features a picture breaking down the individual parts of how it functions. It looks very similar to other sex toy packaging at this point, I'm not really seeing anyone do anything different just maybe different style or box shape. The packaging doesn't usually dissuade me from buying an item unless its super graphic or tacky looking, mainly because the packaging quickly ends up being tossed out afterwards.

Materials and care

The We-Vibe Wand 2 is made from body-safe silicone encasing the entirety of the product. It's a heavier wand than my previous one and feels high quality. The website for the We-Vibe Wand 2 lists that it is fully waterproof and can be simply cleaned with mild soap and warm water. It definitely is easy to clean, I personally just left it to dry on the counter in my bathroom after. Unfortunately, it doesn't come with a storage bag or box, so I recommend using or getting your own because the silicone does attract lint and random dust.

Special feature

The We-Vibe Wand 2 comes with an app unlike several other wand toys out there. Personally, I found the app to be finicky both in finding your partner for connecting as well as a delay in changing patterns/speeds through the app. I also don’t know if this is just my toy but I found the connection to be unstable when using it for distance control, something I rely on because my partner is long distance. I would include screenshots or a screen recording but the app doesn’t allow for either and my secondary device is too old for compatibility.
