Womanizer Starlet 2 Review
My Verdict
I was really disappointed in the overall quality of the Womanizer Starlet 2. It’s almost like they came up with this fantastic, clitoral dazzling sex toy, then retreated to a closet for 10 years and didn’t improve on anything. The plastic looks cheap, is slippery and hard to hang onto and the silicone mouth is sticky and rubbery. Mechanically, the Starlet 2 is sound, feels wonderful on the clitoris and creates pretty powerful orgasms. However, there are only 4 settings. In my opinion, it’s far too overpriced. And if I saw this in a sex shop, I would walk right by it. For a little bit more, you could purchase a Baci…. which looks far better, feels like a dream and has settings that will make you think you’ve died and gone to another realm. Sorry Womanizer.

About The Womanizer Starlet 2
This is going to be another cringe-worthy review because, well, read on and you will see. The Womanizer Starlet 2 is an ergonomically shaped, clitoral stimulator that uses air pulses to bring you to orgasm. It has a removeable mouth for easy cleaning and replacement with larger or smaller 3-pack silicone heads. Yeah, I’m sticking to the facts and nothing more, for now.
The vibrations of the Womanizer Starlet 2 are fairly quiet, weak, and somewhat buzzy

Personal Experience
I have heard so many amazing things about the Womanizer collection of clitoral stimulators. After all, they are the OG or clitoral air-pulse toys. So, when I learned that I had the opportunity to review the Starlet 2, I was excited! However, my experience was a total roller coaster ride…. an old, jerky, short roller coaster where you had to wait in a 3-hour long line to ride. The packaging was bright, feminine and pretty, much like a box of sanitary pads. Only the Starlet 2 had a clear window, through which I could see the product. Hey Womanizer, you might want to do away with the peek-a-boo window! Because, had I seen this in a store, I would have laughed and not purchased it. The Starlet 2 literally looks like something featured in The Dollar Tree, “New Product” bin for a buck. Plus, I believe the manufacturers of the Womanizer are color blind as this is not pink, as they claim, it’s orange. The cheap, plastic exterior was a complete turn off, not to mention the bright, tangerine orange color. It was slippery in my hand and I worried that though it was shaped nicely, I wouldn’t be able to grip the slick plastic. Furthermore, the clitoral mouth, which they say is silicone, feels like rubber. Yep, it’s not very soft, it’s not at all silky and it’s sort of sticky. Seriously, if you don’t landscape down there, this silicone will pull your pubes.
Using The Starlet 2
I love the fact that the Starlet 2 has 2 buttons, 1 with a plus and 1 with a minus. So, turning it on and moving through the settings was easy! But again, the buttons even look like a cheap, Dollar Store toy that breaks after you play with it for an hour. (Down the bumpy roller coaster we go!) I turned on the Starlet and placed my finger in front of the mouth and thought, hmmm, this might not be so bad! (Up the next hill on the coaster, I have hope!) Then, I realized it only had 4 levels of stimulation. Really? So, I moved forward and used a bit of water-based lube and tried the Starlet. It is a bit loud, however, once it is suctioned over the clitoris, it’s a great deal more quiet. The lowest level felt nice, I can see how the Womanizer made a name for themselves. And yes, I had a quite nice orgasm as I was able to go up to the second level…. and generally, I am done at level one! So, as far as functionality goes, the Womanizer Starlet 2 is pretty fantastic. The air pulses are strong and really felt amazing. However, if it weren’t for the fact that I got a free Womanizer canvas toy caddy for free (from Lovehoney) I probably would have been much more harsh in this review.Design
The Womanizer Starlet 2 is designed to fit in the palm of your hand and be comfortable to use. And I give them an A+ on that front. In addition, having the up and down buttons makes it extremely easy to toggle back and forth through the levels of sensation, so I rate this one higher for edging ability. However, the plastic looks cheap, feels cheap and probably adds to the noisiness of the toy, overall. Plus, the “silicone” clitoral mouth isn’t soft and silky but rigid and sticky.
Ease of Use
The Starlet 2 is extremely easy to use. You simply press and hold in the plus button and press it again to increase the sensation. Press the minus button to lower the power and hold it in to turn the Starlet off, easy peasy! In the owner’s manual, they claim you can get the Starlet 2 in place and squeeze your legs together to hold it there for a hands-free O. Oh boy! Nope, not for me, at least. I squeezed between my thighs and it slipped out and flew through the air. But I must say, the shape is really nice, it would be better with grips or thumb holds or something.
Quality
The quality of the Womanizer Starlet 2 is questionable. I mean, it works well and has fantastic puffs of air that feel quite amazing. But, the plastic from which 99% of the toy is made looks cheap, feels cheap and would probably break if dropped a couple of times. Also, I am still questioning if the clitoral mouth is actually silicone.
Price
No. If you want to spend nearly $80 on a clitoral sucker, add a little bit to that and get a Baci or shop around for something much less expensive like the Sohimi Rose. Although the Starlet 2 has great suction and feels fantastic, the cheap, plastic, outer-casing is extremely off-putting and the color, in my opinion, is ugly. Yes, I sound like a toy snob, but I’ve worked in this industry for 30 years and I haven’t seen plastic toys like this since the 80s. It likely costs the company a few bucks to make yet you’re being charged $79.99. Not worth it in any way, shape or form, in my opinion.
Performance
As far as performance goes, the Starlet 2 did not disappoint! The motor ran smoothly, although a wee bit noisy. The air puffs, suction and pulses feel incredible and yes, this toy will definitely get you off. It’s a great clitoral stimulator for edging, although more levels of stimulation might be needed for some. The motor didn’t overheat as I was trying it out and it seemed to hold a charge well. Plus, it is waterproof and submersible so you can play in the bath and shower.
Packaging
The packaging of the Starlet 2 is absolutely lovely. It’s colorful, feminine and a nice, thin weight of cardboard. Additionally, it came with two seals, proving that it was sanitary and hadn’t been opened since it was boxed. And although you can see the toy through the clear plastic window on the front flap plus there is a great deal of text on the box, there aren’t any adult depictions anywhere. Therefore, you could use it for storage, but probably not for long as the carboard isn’t very thick.
Materials and care
The Womanizer Starlet 2 is made of ABS plastic and the clitoral mouth is silicone. Therefore, the toy is waterproof, submersible and easy to clean. The clitoral mouth is removeable, so you can thoroughly wash it. Plus, you can purchase replacement heads of different sizes or in case yours falls off sometime – which is easy to do as it doesn’t grip to the toy very strongly. As far as what products you should use, always lube the mouth with water-based lubricant. When cleansing, wash the removeable mouth with a gentle soap and warm water or a silicone-safe toy cleanser. The plastic body of the toy can be cleaned with just about anything, it’s plastic.
Special feature
For the first time doing reviews, I can honestly say that there is nothing whatsoever that is special about the Womanizer Starlet 2. Maybe 10 years ago, sure! But with the high caliber clitoral stimulators and suckers out there now, the Starlet 2 is subpar in comparison.
