Chrystalino Superior Glass Dildo Review

Personal Experience

For me, the Chrystalino Superior is the platonic ideal of a dildo. For starters, it’s so pretty to look at. The blue glass and the shapely curves catch the sunlight in a way that almost makes me want to display it on a shelf in my living room. Honestly, I haven’t completely ruled that out. It’s also so wonderfully smooth and nice to hold. I already have a stainless steel dildo in my collection, the Le Wand Bow, and while that’s also smooth and solid, it’s much heavier than the glass Chrystalino. It’s truly the best of both worlds!

Design

This is one of the prettiest toys in my (sizeable) sex toy collection. I love the way the light catches the beautiful blue glass, and the design is truly eye-catching. I'm a fan of non-realistic dildos, and this one is exactly that. The double-ended design does give you more variety in your play, but I stuck almost exclusively with the larger, single bulb.

Ease of Use

The Chrystalino Superior dildo is incredibly easy to use. With a small helping of your favorite lube, it slides inside smoothly and easily, and since it's quite slim, it doesn't take much warm-up. If you aren't a fan of the cold glass sensation, you can warm up the dildo quickly in some warm water beforehand, or even just hold it in your hand for a little while. The only issue you might experience is that the glass can slippery if you have lube on your hands. I didn't have an issue with this, as the beaded end makes a good handle, but you may do if you struggle to grip things.

Quality

I was actually surprised at the quality of this dildo. The glass is immaculate, with no visible impurities or imperfections, and it comes encased in protective foam. Given that Chrystalino is not an overly expensive brand, I was pleasantly surprised at how high-quality this product is.

Price

The Chrystalino Superior dildo is very reasonably priced compared to other glass dildos. Similar brands, like Pipedream's Icicles line, come in at around $10-15 more, on average. It doesn't seem like Chrystalino have cut any corners on the manufacturing of this product, so I think it's a fantastic deal. My only complaint is that it doesn't come with a storage pouch. Since glass dildos are more fragile than silicone or steel, a padded pouch would have been really useful to protect the dildo between uses.

Performance

If you're looking for a toy that really stimulates the g-spot or a-spot, this is the product for you. You may feel skeptical about this claim, and I don't blame you, but I speak only the truth. It's impossibly smooth, firm and oh-so pretty to look at.

Packaging

The Superior dildo comes in a minimalistic, white box with an embossed photo of the toy on the front. You simply slide out the inner box to reveal the dildo nestled in foam, as well as a small booklet showcasing Chrystalino's other dildos. It's really nicely made and very solid, so you could easily use the packaging to store the dildo in lieu of a storage pouch.

Materials and care

The Chrystalino Superior dildo is made from 100% body-safe borosilicate glass. This is the same glass that original Pyrex dishes are made from, and is extremely sturdy — much sturdier than regular glass — there's little-to-no chance of it shattering or cracking as you use it. It's also very heat-resistant, so you can boil it or put it in the dishwasher to sanitize it. For regular cleaning, just use a mild, unscented soap and water, or use a toy cleaning spray. The other great thing about glass as a sex toy material is that you can use any kind of lube you want, whether it's water-based, silicone-based or oil-based.
