Hot Octopuss Pulse Solo Interactive Review
My Verdict
The Hot Octopuss is a "Hit Octopuss" in my book. The Hot Octopuss Pulse Solo Interactive is a refreshing way of exploring new sensations. It doesn't take long to take advantage of the rumbling vibrations and start enjoying yourself. Of all the sex toys I have tried, this is the one that gets me off the fastest, and when I've had the time for two sessions, one after another, it has come in handy. That being said, I was disappointed with the performance of the app. I would have been happier with just the vibrator itself, without bothering with the app.

About The Hot Octopuss Pulse Solo Interactive
The Hot Octopuss Pulse Solo Interactive is a male vibrator with a pulse plate that stimulates the frenulum (banjo string). It's made of silicone with flexible wings that wrap around the head for a snug fit but can fit a broad range of sizes. It can also be used as a stroker. You can control it using the buttons on the vibrator or with the app.
The vibrations of the Hot Octopuss Pulse Solo Interactive are quiet, very powerful, and somewhat rumbly

Personal Experience
Solo Play
Right now the Hot Octopuss Pulse Solo Interactive is my go to toy, and I use it just as frequently as when I go au natural! I really enjoy the type of direct stimulation it offers and that the pulse plate design makes it easy to stimulate my most sensitive area. It feels more like tapping or pulsing than vibrations, and I prefer that to traditional vibrators I’ve tried, like the Doxy Die Cast, which is not designed specifically for penis owners like the Hot Octopuss is. I also really like that it’s got more coverage than the Fun Factory Manta, and I can squeeze the sides if I want more pressure. It’s also very enjoyable experience to clean the toy also because I dread cumming in toys that are a pain to clean and dry. Likewise, there’s no set up or lube needed which also makes it easy to grab for a quickie, unlike my Kiiroo Keon.Partner Play
My partner has a Kiiroo toy, and I was very excited to try some long-distance sex with our toys connected to each other. However, it didn’t end up being as streamlined as we’d hoped for. There were a lot of issues with connecting to the app and the video call that led to many a flaccid moment. We could control each other’s toys long-distance using the manual sliders, but we couldn’t get the toys to interact with each other. It was also a shame the video call didn’t work as that would have made for some very exciting long-distance sex. We did use the vibrator together in the shower, and the open-ended design was fun as my partner could go down on me while using the Hot Octopuss lower on my shaft. This wasn’t the most stimulating way to use the Hot Octopuss Pulse as it feels best on the head of the penis, but it was still fun!Interactive Features
Although the interactive partner features didn’t work that well, I was able to connect it to some interactive porn and that worked quite well! That being said, for the interactive porn experience, I prefer the Kiiroo Keon, as it feels more similar to real sex and gets closer to the action on screen.Design
I think the Hot Octopuss Pulse Solo Interactive has a sexy design that almost reminds me of a sports car. I like the more masculine look of the dark colors, and I enjoy that it isn't based on a realistic vulva. I think this is great as it can appeal to more people regardless of their sexual orientation. It looks great and doesn't even look like a sex toy to the untrained eye. I can leave it out in my bedroom and not worry about it. It is also quite fun that the open end design means you can see yourself cumming.
Ease of Use
The Hot Octopuss Solo Interactive has a simple button layout with on/off, turbo mode and increase/decrease buttons. They all have the same texture and size, which makes them hard to distinguish without memorizing where they are. The power button is slow to react which makes you doubt if you pressed correctly and is bad for edging. The device is not too heavy for the size and sits comfortably in the hand. I also like that I can use it hands free resting on my stomach.
Quality
It has a good weight to it and feels like it has a solid construction. It can be a little loud especially on full power and can be heard through a closed door. The silicone feels great quality and is comfortable against the skin. The battery life is only 45 minutes, which is a little short and means it needs recharging frequently.
Price
Since the toy didn't have the partner play I function I hoped for, I didn't use the app terribly much. For the price of 180 dollars there just isn't enough justification without the app. If the app had worked as I hoped, I think the price would be ok. If I were to buy this again, I would go for the Hot Octopuss Solo Essential which is the cheaper version without app controls.
Performance
I think the Hot Octopuss Pulse device itself performed extremely well and it's my go to when I'm in the mood for using a toy. I really enjoyed the rumbly feeling of the pulse plate and think it's much more enjoyable than standard vibrations. The interactive performance was a bit of a let down though.
Packaging
So the packaging isn't something that's super important to me, if anything I wish there was no packaging, but I understand it needs to be protected. It came in a simple box with an insert to hold the toy in place and a small instruction booklet. The box was black with a tasteful design and picture of the toy on it, so it's easy to see what's inside. I like that there was nothing explicit on the box.
Materials and care
The toy was an absolute delight to clean. Sometimes the clean-up might deter me from using a toy, but since the Hot Octopuss has an open design, cleaning can be done in a matter of seconds without a need for long air drying, like a TPE sleeve.
Special feature
The Hot Octopuss Pulse Solo Interactive is an app-enabled sex toy that has a lot of different features and I had a mixed experience with them! It was very easy to connect the toy to the Kiiroo FeelConnect app and control the toy using the interface. It was also simple enough to get the toy to work in sync with online content and I feel it was fairly well synchronised with what was happening on screen. However, the interactive feature that interested me most was being able to connect to my partner’s toy as we don’t live together at the moment. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to make this feature work and ended up being very frustrating and a bit of a boner killer. This was the only thing that let the toy down though!
