Using The Toy

The toy is designed in such a way that your penis head should be resting on the PulsePlate when in use. The flaps grip your penis and keep it from moving around, so the PulsePlate is consistently hitting the most sensitive part of the penis, right under the frenulum. The flaps are strong enough that they grip your penis and prevent movement, while also not being so tight as to be uncomfortable. This allows you to freely enjoy the toy, with or without manual stimulation. If you prefer a hands free climax, that is possible with this toy and is in fact one of its biggest selling points. Perhaps the most admirable function of the toy though, is its ability to help men who have erectile dysfunction. The grips work on flaccid penises too, and therefore, and erection is not necessarily needed to bring yourself to orgasm. Ease of Use

The toy is incredibly easy to use. There is a remote with simple buttons to operate the toy that looks like a wrist watch. There is no need to even touch the toy if hands free is your thing. Additionally, the same buttons can be found on the toy itself, so if you prefer a more manual approach, you can lube the toy up and stroke away too. The toy allows you to play your way, and regardless of which way that is, it is guaranteed to be simple and intuitive.

Quality

The toy is very obviously made a good materials. The moment you touch this thing, you can see that the luxurious packaging isn't just a marketing ploy. The toy is really made a good quality silicone and ABS plastic. The carry bag that comes with it is pretty, and soft so as not to damage the toy or any of the items it comes with. The wrist remote that comes with the toy is also removable so you or a partner can use it how you want to. The toy is very loud, so no public play for this toy for sure, but it is only loud because of the way the toy operates. You can tell the vibrations are tight, and the toy is operating as it should be, despite how loud it is. The manufacturers really care about the product of their toy, and that is obvious once you start actually using it. This toy will last for a while.

Price

For all the good things I've said about this toy, keep in mind that it comes at a price. The toy retails on Hot Octopus' website at $149.95 normally. But currently as of this posting there is a 10% discount bringing the toy down to $134.95. On Amazon it's $149.95 flat, and Lovehoney sells it for the same price. So, while the cheapest price is on the Hot Octopus website, bear in mind it's still a hefty $135 before taxes. Is it worth that? I suppose that would vary in the eyes of the user, but I can tell you the toy is made of great quality materials, and should be getting your rocks off for years to come.

Performance

The toy itself is honestly stronger than I anticipated. I never imagined it would be as strong as it is, and the way the toy is designed makes it so that the vibrations are right where they need to be to get you off strong and hard. The toy does advertise that it can be used as a "next generation" stroker on the side of the box. And while it is true the toy can be used as a stroker, I myself struggled to enjoy the stroking aspect of it. The silicone is soft, and feels pleasurable going up and down your shaft, but the real breadwinner here is the PulsePlate... hands down. It delivers strong vibrations that'll have you gasping for breath in no time. Additionally, despite its size and powerful vibrations, the toy boasts an hour long battery life. I would say most men would complete a good healthy session well before that, but you've got the full hour if you need it. Overall, the toy performs very well and does what it says it will do.

Packaging

The packaging looks like a luxury item. You would think you were about to open a $300 bottle of whiskey or something when you look at it on first glance. The toy is displayed clearly on the front of the box right underneath the Hot Octopus branding with a deep purple background that looks like satin sheets. The sides are full of useful information about the toy itself including a diagram of how to use the toy with an illustration of a penis with the toy in use. I feel like it is fitting for the toy, and certainly established Hot Octopuss as a luxury toy brand.

Materials and care

The toy's internal components are mostly plastic bits and wiring, but all of that is covered in a soft silicone covering that covers the entire toy. The toy is fairly heavy for a vibrator, so you may consider being on your back to allow the toy to do its thing without fear of falling off. The materials are obviously high quality, you can tell these are not cheap. The toy can be used underwater without fear of malfunction according to the manufacturer, but that is not a type of play I am interested in so I have not tested this personally. The toy is eaily cleanable using any toy sprays or light soaps. Simply spray, or lather, and wash gently as you would any other toy. Personally I use #toylife which you can purchase on Amazon for $12.99 for 8 ounces. You don't have to use very much, and it has a light pleasant scent while also getting the toys clean. When not in use, the toy does come with a storage bag. The bag is a soft satin like material so you don't have to worry about any components being damaged while the toy is being stored.
