My Verdict
My key takeaway from using the Maude Vibe is that it is a whole new level of the affordable vibrator. Sure, it doesn't have some of the fancier features of competing products, and it is a bit more pricey than cheap models from other brands. But the quality versus the price tag and how well they present the limited features the Maude provides make it an excellent starter toy. While it might not have everything a more advanced user prefers, it still works for any user level. Indeed, your toy drawer would be more complete with this little guy nestled in its depths. I enjoyed it a lot, and I am very picky with my bedroom accessories. I give the Maude Vibe my personal seal of approval.

Personal Experience
Riding Solo
I first opted to try the Maude Vibe alone, as I find that gives me more time and room to try out the different features. It didn’t disappoint! The first setting is too mild to do much more, but it is excellent for foreplay. Where the patterns may have served that function in other toys, it gives a good rate of vibration that works well with the consistent pressure. I found it was perfect for enhancing the overall experience. Once I worked up to the second and third level, I was surprised by their strength. You can play with the full toy, getting different intensities along the stem. The most direct pleasure comes from the tip, and I found the third level a little much for my preference, with level two being just right. Your mileage may vary depending on your sensitivity. Given the success of my first try, I was eager to see how the Maude Vibe worked with a partner. I already suspected it would turn out well, given the overall shape and weight of the vibrator. Anyone who has tried to play with a bulky or oddly shaped vibrator during sex knows that some styles are just better than others. The Maude’s ergonomic (if somewhat unusual) design seemed well built to make it easier to hold and adjust. I wasn’t disappointed. Using it in several positions, the simple features and sloped shape created the perfect storm of sensations. No matter where I shifted, all I had to do was tilt my wrist a tiny bit to get the right level of pressure and vibration where I needed it. The single-button controls helped me ramp things up, but more importantly, I could take it back down without having to cycle through a dozen patterns and ruin the momentum. I do like patterns and could see the benefit of having a second button that controlled that without having to cycle through. But their absence was less of a hindrance than I thought.Design
The overall design of the Maude Vibe is unique but effective. The tapered, exaggerated teardrop shape uses the heavy base for a strong motor that really drives the vibrations up the full shaft. The most intense vibes gather at the tip, giving the user a chance for some foreplay as they work their way up the stem. The three vibration speeds vary from mild to very intense.
Ease of Use
There are no frills here, which is a plus for those who are serious about our vibrators. Unlike most products, there are no patterns available. I am not a fan of most patterns and tend to ignore them in favor of consistent pressure. Not having to toggle between a dozen settings to make my way back to what I want is a huge win, in my opinion. The shape, size, and weight are all well balanced, making it a breeze to use solo or with a partner. The lack of additional bulk and the heavier base makes it a good option for settling into different positions.
Quality
I am taking off a couple of points on behalf of those who like more customization and because it is a little louder than those who want a discreet vibe may prefer. But overall, this is fantastic quality for the price. It is simple, but no one uses all the features on those juiced-up sex toys, anyway. If you are looking for a chic, minimalist, strong vibrator for a price point that fits into most budgets, this is a great choice.

The price is right for what you get with the Maude Vibe. It isn't "cheap" when compared to a $15 vibrator you can find at most online sex shops. However, the quality compared to the cost is awesome. Not only are you getting a toy that will take anyone where they want to go, but it's versatile, powerful, and rechargeable. That last one is important! No one wants to be fiddling with batteries in this day and age. Even the feeling of the silicone is more impressive than you would expect for the price tag.
Performance
Performance-wise, I was happy with the Maude Vibe. It has a 1.5 (max speed) to 2.5 (min speed) hour battery life with a quick charge through its USB charger. There is a single button, which you hold down for a few seconds to turn off and on and run through its three speeds. You can compare the max speed against most high-end competitors, and even the medium speed is shockingly strong. The low speed is a little underwhelming, but probably perfect for more sensitive folks.
Packaging
The Maude Vibe comes in a solid cardboard tube with a lid. Inside, you will find a simple zip-up carrying case that contains the toy. I liked the packaging because both of those packaging items are very discreet. You wouldn't see either and think "sex toy." Compared to other brands, you usually get the same kind of silken drawstring bag that is unmistakable. You wouldn't glance at the Maude Vibe packaging and think twice about what it could be.
