My Verdict
I think this is a very good collar if you are new to wearing a collar or prefer having something very lightweight. I think it looks great on, as does my partner, and it's comfortable enough to wear for longer periods. It's actually easy to forget you are wearing it, which could be a pro or a con. For that reason, I wouldn't recommend it to enthusiasts who crave feeling more heavily restricted. The snap fastening makes it less intimidating but I find it a little awkward to do up. The collar feels quite sturdy and I like the silver stud details. The leash feels a little less sturdy but totally fine for light use.

About The Sportsheets Leather Collar and Leash
This leash and collar set from Sportsheets is a beginner-friendly bondage staple! Both items are made of leather and the collar has a velvety lining with three snaps to fasten it at the back. The collar has three size settings and can fit necks up to 16.9 inches in circumference.

Personal Experience
When I first floated the idea of reviewing a collar with my partner, he wasn’t that enthused by it and to be honest, I didn’t have that high expectations either. However, once I put it on, his mind quickly changed and have to say, I ended up liking this leash and collar more than I thought I would. It’s definitely a more beginner-oriented option but I really like the overall design and how comfortable it is to wear. I previously reviewed another collar and leash set from Sportsheets, and although I liked it, it always felt a little too chunky for me. This one is much lighter and has more sleek, simple design. I think it looks really sexy on and definitely gives big sub energy!
Design
This leash and collar keeps it simple and I really like that! The clean black lines and silver hardware look great. I love the small detail of the Sportsheets logo on the studs as it looks like tiny flowers. The collar looks a little more put together that the leash, which is quite basic with unfinished edges but I don't particularly mind. I'm more concerned that the collar looks and feels good on, which it does!
Ease of Use
The snap fastening definitely makes the collar less intimidating for those new to wearing a collar and leash, but I feel like it feels a little clunky to put on. There are also only three size settings to choose from, which is pretty limited. Aside from that, it's as easy to use as any leash and collar. I do like that the leash fastening swivels so you can move more freely.
Quality
The collar is lined with a soft fabric, making it comfortable to wear. The edges are finished nicely and the metal hardware feels solid. The leather feels good quality. It's definitely not the highest quality, but at the price point, I wouldn't expect it to be. The leash is quite slim and has a raw edge and feels a little less robust. It stretches quite easily and does shed a little, leaving little black flecks. Overall I would say the quality is good, especially if you only want a collar for occasional/light use or one more for aesthetics.
Price
I think this collar and leash set is at the upper end of the price range I would want to pay for it. It is real leather and the price matches other similar products. I do feel it's a little less durable than other similarly priced leather items I've owned, though.
Performance
I feel like this collar is mostly for aesthetics and I think it ticks that box well! The leash feels a little thin and stretchy but it's fine for guiding your partner/sub around. Keep in mind, that it's very light, which makes it comfortable to wear for longer periods but might not feel restrictive/subby enough for those who enjoy more intense play. I find putting securing the collar using the snaps a little clunky and would much prefer a buckle fastening.
Packaging
This leash and collar comes in a cardboard box which is lined with another cardboard box, which means it's nice and sturdy, if a little unnecessary. The outside of the box has the standard man/woman couple in their underwear with the woman wearing the collar. While there's nothing wrong with this, I'd love to see some more diversity! The box has a magnetic flap that opens up to show a close up of an almost identical image, which seems quite pointless.
Materials and care
Both the leash and collar are made of leather so should only be spot cleaned and conditioned occasionally to keep them supple. The metal is also nickel-free, so it's fine for anyone with a nickel allergy.
