My Verdict
This little vibrator has a lot to live up to. The previous We-Vibe Tango incarnation, the Tango X, is my favorite vibrator of all time for its off-the-charts rumbliness and sheer versatility. This new version of the Tango is very similar in a lot of ways and is a fantastic little vibe, but in my opinion, the one-button design and the smaller number of vibration modes let it down slightly, especially when it's more expensive than its predecessor!

Personal Experience
I feel like I should preface the rest of my review with a disclaimer: this is a fantastic bullet vibrator that works like a dream. I’m going to say a few negative things in this review, but only because I’m comparing this toy to one that I think is almost flawless.
Still Got Those Good Rumbles
Like many people, I prefer rumbly vibrations over buzzy ones. If you’re not sure what that means, think of how a song with a lot of bass can make a speaker actually move, while a more tinny-sounding song may make it vibrate so fast you can’t even see it (I actually wrote a whole blog post that explains it in more detail!). These rumbly vibrations actually move the shaft of the vibe back and forth, making the vibes penetrate deep into the tissue and stimulate more than just the outer layer of skin, and that’s what I love. The We-Vibe Tango 2 delivers those kinds of vibrations beautifully. You can hold it lightly over your clit and enjoy a gentle tapping sensation, or press it firmly down and feel the rumbles deep within. The ABS plastic body helps with this, since it doesn’t absorb any of the vibrations, but instead transmits them outward. The Tango 2 really does do what I need it to do every time, and it does it fast!The Let Downs
Since I own both the We-Vibe Tango X and now the Tango 2, I couldn’t help but compare them. As I held them both in my hands and turned them on, I found that the first four intensities of the Tango 2 directly match the first four modes of the Tango X, which means the same insane levels of rumble and deep stimulation. However, the Tango X has four higher intensity modes that the Tango 2 is missing. That doesn’t matter too much to me personally, since I stick mainly to the lower modes anyway, but others may be a little disappointed by the lack of extra powerful modes. For those who enjoy vibration patterns, the Tango 2 also has three fewer pattern modes than the Tango X. The other thing I found, that I truly dislike, is that they’ve replaced the three buttons on the Tango X with just one button, meaning that you have to cycle through every mode if you want to go back to a previous one. If you realize that you’ve gone too high, or simply misclick the button, you have to scroll through every intensity and pattern to go back to the beginning. It sucks. The button is also less ergonomic than the Tango X, since it’s at the base of the bullet, and there’s no silicone handle to help you grip. It does make the vibrator look a little more like a lipstick, but I think that’s at the expense of comfort. My final complaint is that it doesn’t have a travel lock — the Tango X has travelled the world with me because it’s so compact and won’t turn on in my luggage if I lock it. Since I can’t do that with the Tango 2, I doubt that it will be accompanying me on any travels.Design
The hard plastic lipstick tip is such a winner for me. I love the firm, directed stimulation I can get with it, and I feel like a solid plastic is so much better at transmitting rumbly vibrations than silicone (which can absorb and diffuse vibrations). I do wish that it had a more ergonomic handle, though, and that it came in more colors than bright pink.
Ease of Use
The Tango 2 is very lightweight and easy to hold, which I appreciate. However, I find the button placement very annoying and difficult to press while I'm using it. I also hate that I have to cycle through all the vibration modes, so I can't just adjust the intensity up and down as I need it. Additionally, I find myself missing the easy grip silicone handle of the Tango X — I know some people prefer this slim design, but I can imagine that it might be hard to hold if you have hand strength or grip issues. It also doesn't come with a travel lock feature, of course.
Quality
We-Vibe is known for top-quality sex toys, and the Tango 2 maintains that reputation. It's solidly constructed from high quality materials and is made to last. I haven't noticed any rattling inside so far, but my Tango X did start rattling a little after a few months, so I don't know if the same thing might happen here.
Price
Considering the simplified nature of the new Tango, I was expecting it to be at a more budget-friendly price point. Imagine my surprise when I learned that it's not! Depending on where you look, it's either the same price or $10 more expensive. I think that's a very strange pricing decision from We-Vibe. At the time of writing, the new Tango is 25% off on We-Vibe's website, but to be honest, I would urge you to use a Bedbible coupon code to get some money off the Tango X instead!
Performance
Looking at the reviews online, you can see that a lot of people really love this vibrator, and I can understand why. It is still a really great, really rumbly vibrator. However, I also see a lot of people saying that the Tango 2 is more powerful or more rumbly than the Tango X, which is just factually untrue. I've held both in my hands and compared each intensity level, and they match perfectly. The Tango X has a revamped, more powerful motor than the original Tango, and the Tango 2 seems to have the same motor as the Tango X.
Packaging
We-Vibe were definitely going for a minimalistic feel when they designed this packaging. Instead of a box, you get a simple pouch to rip open. I imagine that it's more eco-friendly than a full box, but it also provides less protection and feels less special to receive. Inside the pouch is the vibe, a charging cable and a couple of manuals. There is no storage bag, unlike the Tango X, which I think is especially annoying, since the packaging is not resealable.
Materials and care
The Tango 2 is primarily made from ABS plastic, which is a non-porous, body-safe material that feels smooth on the skin. The button on the base is covered with silicone, which is also non-porous and body-safe. This vibe is waterproof and submersible, which makes cleaning super easy. Simply use warm water and a mild, unscented soap, or a toy cleaner if you prefer.
