Quickie Cuffs Review
My Verdict
I ended up liking the Quickie Cuffs way more than I was expecting to! They made it so easy and approachable for both me and my partner to try out a bit of light bedroom bondage, and felt so much more satisfying to wear than any makeshift restraints we'd tried. I would highly recommend them to anyone who's interested in trying out handcuffs for the first time, as well as anyone else who wants some basic but high-quality cuffs. I'm taking a couple of decimal points off for the lack of connectivity with other restraints, but that's easy to get over if you're creative enough.

Perfect for beginners, they take away so much hassle and intimidation that can stop us from giving bondage and BDSM a go for the first time. The Quickie Cuffs come in two sizes (I tested the Medium size), are very flexible, and have a small amount of stretch to them.

Personal Experience
A Little Vacation Bondage
The first time my boyfriend and I tried out the Quickie Cuffs was on a vacation in Italy. I tucked them away in my suitcase, just in case a situation arose where they could come in handy. The good thing about silicone handcuffs is that they won’t set off any security alarms! When we broke them out on our hotel room, it was actually him wearing them, which was a first. Just seeing him with them on was really something, and I didn’t expect it at all. Immediately, I found it so easy to get into a more dominant frame of mind, and it was so much fun to tease him! Since the Quickie Cuffs were so easy to get on, we could keep up the momentum and mood of our play — they were a real game-changer.How Do They Feel?
Of course, since I’m the tester here, I also had to have a go wearing them. Though I’m definitely a BDSM beginner, we have tried out some makeshift cuffs on me before, using an old necktie of his. However, since the tie was so silky, it came undone easily as soon as I pulled the slightest bit. Not so with the Quickie Cuffs. They’re much sturdier, and don’t have a lot of stretch to them, so when you put them, you can tell they’re not going to fall off. It took a little bit of effort to pull them over my hands, but the silicone didn’t pull too much on the skin like I was afraid it would. Once they were on, it felt so satisfying to pull against them and feel the resistance.Could They Be Better?
The only gripe I have about the Quickie Cuffs is that I really wish they had a way to attach them to other things. It could be a ring in the middle, or even just a whole that you could attach a clip to, so that you could hook them up to other restraints like ankle cuffs, bed straps or door restraints. That way, you could progress with them from light bondage to something a bit deeper. When I had them on, I found myself wishing that I could have the cuffs attached to our headboard or something, so I could pull against it more and feel more restricted. Of course, you could wrap a scarf, some bondage tape or bondage rope around the middle of the cuffs and attach them to something with that, if you like getting your DIY on.Design
The Quickie Cuffs have a simple but recognizable design. They consist of two handcuffs, all in silicone, with a flat strip connecting them that has the Quickie Cuffs logo on it. Not too fancy, but not ugly either! I tested the Medium size, which has cuffs 2" in diameter — just the right size for both me and my boyfriend. My cuffs were in black, but they're also available in red. The only thing I think they're missing is a way to attach them to other restraints, like a loop or D-ring.
Ease of Use
The Quickie Cuffs have a little bit of stretch to them, but since they're solid silicone, it's not much. That means that, if you have bigger hands, you might have to tug a little bit to get them on, but it also means they won't slip off while you're wearing them. If you're unsure whether they'll be too small, I would recommend checking out the size first and perhaps measuring the widest part of your hand to make sure you can get them on and off comfortably. However, the flexibility of the silicone does make it easier move around in them without them digging in. Plus, there are no buckles, velcro, knots or keys to worry about!
Quality
The thick silicone of the Quickie cuffs feels very durable, even when you bend and fold it a lot. You can really strain against it without the cuffs stretching too much and slipping off. It also feels nice and soft on the skin, and doesn't pull too much on skin or hair like I was worried it would.
Price
These cuffs are cheaper than most other quality handcuffs around, which I love! At such an affordable price, they're perfect for beginners like me, whilst still being sturdy and comfortable to wear. And honestly, they look way better than those dirt-cheap fluffy handcuffs you can buy.
Performance
The Quickie Cuffs really achieve what they set out to do. If the mood strikes you, all you need to do is get them out, slip them on and you're ready to go — there's zero fussing around. They don't provide a very restrictive feeling, and can't really be connected to other restraints, but that's why they're so ideal for newbies. They are also missing the adjustability of more advanced cuffs, but since they stretch a little bit to get them on, they don't come off that easily anyway.
Packaging
The packaging of the Quickie Cuffs isn't really meant to last. It's simple, like the cuffs themselves, and comes with an outer box and an inner cardboard slip that the cuffs are attached to with a ribbon. Once I took the pictures, I promptly threw it in the trash. I do wish that they came with a storage bag, since silicone can pick up a lot of lint and dust. I've been storing the Quickie cuffs in a satin storage pouch that came with one of my vibrators instead.
Materials and care
The Quickie Cuffs are made from silky-smooth, waterproof silicone. To clean them, just give them a rinse with some mild, unscented soap and water, or you could also use a sex toy cleaning spray. While you don't need lube to use them, I would recommend being mindful of the kind of lube you're using for sex toys when also using the Quickie Cuffs. Silicone and oil-based lubes can damage silicone and make it feel tacky, so it's perhaps best to stick with water-based lubes when breaking out the cuffs. If you do get some of these damaging lube on them, give them a quick wash straight away.
