Sliquid H2O Lube Review
My Verdict
This is a fantastic lube, and one I would recommend to people of all genders and genitals. It's wonderfully formulated for those with sensitive vaginas, but also works well for all kinds of uses, whether those be with sex toys or partners. It does have some pitfalls that all water-based lubes fall victim to, like drying out over time, but I don't think it fairs particularly worse than other brands on that front. The only thing I deduct some decimal points for is the design and rigidity of the bottle — I'm thinking of decanting mine into a pump bottle!

The Sliquid H2O: My Journey
My Experiences with Sliquid H2O
Before I tried using my bottle of Sliquid H2O for any sexy stuff, I first had to take photos of it for this review, which involved pouring some out onto my hands. It was then that I realized that this lube was thinner than I expected, and I ended up pouring out way too much from the bottle. I would’ve preferred it to be a bit thicker so I could dispense it more easily and put it where I wanted it, but I did like that it felt quite velvety, and actually mimicked the body’s natural lubrication quite well. Plus, it’s not sticky at all, and won’t stain your sheets. Using it both with sex toys and during sex, I couldn’t fault it. It did dry out, especially when more friction was involved (like during a handjob or with a vibrator), but it was easy to reactivate with some saliva or a dab more lube. And, the best part: I didn’t have any kind of reactions or weird burning sensations while using it, which can’t be said for other brands and formulas that I’ve tried. What Makes It Special?
Since I have quite the collection of sex toys at this point, it’s a must to have a lube that’s compatible with all materials. Luckily, Sliquid H2O is a water-based lube that’s safe to use with all kinds of materials, including silicone. Before you even try it, you can see that they’ve put a lot of thought into the formula. Everything is natural, vegan, free from many ingredients that can irritate some vagina-owners, and pH-balanced to match the natural pH of the vagina. It was all of these things that attracted me to it, and I certainly wasn’t disappointed at how sensitive and vagina-friendly it was to use. Rating the Sliquid H2O’s design
There's not a ton to say about the design of the Sliquid H2O bottle. It's nicely designed, without looking overly sexual, but doesn't look terribly high-end either. For me, that's completely fine, seeing as it lives in a cupboard by my bedside. The bottle itself is quite rigid, with only a little bit of flexibility, and it has what's called a disc top cap, where you press down one side of the cap to reveal a small slot to dispense the lube from. It's not my favorite dispensing solution, but it works okay.
The Ease of use of the Sliquid H2O
Sliquid H2O is quite easy to use. Since it's a water-based formula, it does dry out fairly quickly, but it's very easy to reactivate it with just a little bit of water or spit. It's also quite a runny formula, which makes it easier to dispense, but also means that it can get everywhere if you're not careful! Good thing that it won't stain your sheets. And finally, the bottle can be quite difficult to squeeze, since it's so rigid. Granted, you don't need to squeeze very hard to get some out, but it's still a bit annoying.
Superior Quality or Just Hype?
I have absolutely no doubts about the quality of Sliquid's H2O lube. There's a ton of information about the formulation and the manufacturing process of this product available, and they're very transparent about their ingredients. If you're looking for a high-quality, trustworthy lubricant brand, you can't go wrong with Sliquid.
Is the Sliquid H2O Worth the Investment?
Sliquid H2O isn't the cheapest option out there, but it's certainly not the most expensive either. Since it's a water-based lube, it's cheaper than many silicone- or oil-based alternatives, and is more versatile, too. You'll get the most value for money by getting the biggest 8.5 fl. oz bottle, but if you want to try it out first in a smaller size, it also comes in 2 and 4.2 fl. oz bottles. I received the medium size, but I could see myself buying the largest size once it runs out!
Pleasure Check: How does Sliquid H2O Measure Up?
This lube did everything I wanted it to. It feels really natural, and works great both with sex toys and during partnered sex. It did dry out a bit over time — I noticed this especially when giving a handjob, where there was more friction involved. It was, however, easy to reactivate the slipperiness with some saliva or a bit more lube.
The Art of Presentation: The Sliquid H2O’s Packaging
The Sliquid H2O lube doesn't come with any other packaging except the bottle itself. That's fine with me (less waste is always good, after all), but it might put off those looking for a more luxurious, high-end product vibe. The design on the bottle is fairly gender-neutral, which is also nice, and matches the other Sliquid Naturals products.
Material and care guide
Sliquid H2O is a water-based lubricant with a plant-based formula. Its main ingredients are purified water and plant cellulose, which comes from cotton plants, and all the ingredients are vegan-friendly and compatible with all sex toy materials, including silicone (see image or below for the full list of ingredients). To wash it off from any sex toys, simply use a mild soap and water to remove any residue.
