My Verdict
Tentacle lovers unite! The Uberrime Xenuphora is a fun-colored, textured dildo that is great for folks who like unique toys. This curved dildo has a ridged back, two rows of prominent suckers, even two protruding squishy nubs for external stimulation. The Uberrime Xenuphora is sure to be a hit in the bedroom! I love a good fantasy dildo, and this is one of my favorite ones I've tried by far thanks to its unique shape and colors. Sure, tentacle dildos are fun, but do the other basics have such an interesting head shape or a base for grinding and gaining stimulation from? Personal Experience
Xenuphora Blasted Me Off to Space!
I’ll admit, at first glance, I wasn’t sure what to think of the Uberrime Xenuphora. I really love the time that goes into the packaging of toys, like the stickers that came with the ROMP Jazz or the print on the boxes of Fun Factory toys, like Share Lite and Miss Bi, that have games for you and your partner to play while you get to know your new toy! But the Xenuphora only comes in a plastic bag with stickered labels to tell you about Uberrime and how to care for your new toy. Testing out the dildo itself made the toy worth it, honestly. It’s an affordable toy compared to other fantasy dildos, and is made of body-safe silicone that is comfortable and gentle on the skin. I personally really loved using it solo, in tandem with my Uberrime LaBae Grinder and the Tenga Iroha+ Kushi. I even got the chance to try out the Uberrime Xenuphora with my boyfriend. While we don’t have a harness with a wide enough o-ring for this funky-shaped dildo, we were easily able to makeshift a harness out of a couple of pairs of boxer briefs to stick the toy out through the fly hole. Personally, I think the Xenuphora is easier to manage angle-wise when using it by hand, or riding it while it’s secured onto a flat surface (I really gotta get me a suction cup dildo mount one of these days). I was surprised but how stiff the medium density of the silicone was, and it made the angle of the shaft a little awkward to work around when being penetrated with a harness. Even so, I loved the feeling of the Xenuphora, especially with a bit of lube so it didn’t feel so sharp inside of me. I also think the external nubs are a nice touch, they were a nice additional feeling to the experience!Fantasy and Splendor!
As a fantasy lover and a storyteller, I’m obsessed with fantasy dildos. To me, they’re more unique and interesting than other dildos, and I wasn’t disappointed by what Uberrime brought to the table! Uberrime (Uber-ree-may, the Latin word for luxury), is a company I first found on Etsy years ago and it was recommended to me as I searched for small business alternatives to Bad Dragon—a company that I personally don’t care to support even though it dominates the fantasy dildo market. You can really see the time and effort put into the handmade dildos from Uberrime. From their design down to their marketing, they’ve become one of my top favorite toy makers! I especially appreciate the stories that they craft for their dildos. With the Uberrime Xenuphora, in particular, there’s a whole canon on its page detailing the toy’s fantastical lore. I won’t spoil it all, but let’s just say that this creature comes from “a wet world that supports life in pools of flowing liquid… Its prey is anything that passes by, snatched up in Xenuphora’s sixteen prominent, soft suckers, with each sucker devouring its prey little by little….” The Uberrime Xenuphora is a great choice for folks who want penetration without the humanly phallic phallus, as well as for folks who have a lot of internal and external sensitivity and want more texture! The Uberrime Xenuphora is a great option for all kinds of people, though not necessarily for beginner toy buyers. I say that because this toy has such a prominent (surprisingly pointy!) head and suckers that you will feel as each row of them goes deeper inside of you. It’s a lot of texture that was a lot more impactful than I thought it would be. The Xenuphora, ultimately, was a super fun, super pleasurable, super sexy fantasy dildo that I can’t recommend enough!Design
The Uberrime Xenuphora looks SO cool and feels as amazing quality as it is. The silicone is soft against the skin, not too sticky for lint reasons and medium firm density so it stays hard for your pleasure! And, of course, you can customize this toy, from its colors down to its density, alter this dildo to whatever your kinky heart desires! I especially love the unique style of the Xenuphora, as the head comes to that triangular point and each of the sixteen suction cups are prominent and firm. I don't give the Xenuphora a perfect score only because I wish the squishy nubs for external play were a little more noticble, and also the pointy head is a little too sharp for my liking. Even so, I get a lot of pleasure out of this toy and adore its design!
Ease of Use
There's a little bit of a learning curve if you're a beginner fantasy dildo user, as you need to discover what you need in terms of lube amount and angles. The design of the toy brings a lot of textured stimulation, and for some that could be overwhelming or uncomfortable. It could also be worth looking into accessibility aid such as suction cup mounts to add to its base or bringing in a partner for assistance if you need help mobility-wise. Thankfully, you mostly just need patience as you figure out what works best for you and your body when using the Uberrime Xenuphora.
Quality
The Uberrime Xenuphora is a great quality toy. It does not look or feel cheap. The platinum silicone used in its recipe is soft, slick, and easy to clean. It is also a very reliable and sturdy dildo. Compared to some other toys I've used in the past, sometimes the ones with multiple colors will pull away from each other, breaking the dildo off into multiple pieces. The Xenuphora, however, is well-mixed and given a lot of care by its creators to bring a great quality dildo to your bedroom!
Price
For such a good-quality dildo, this is a great price! Most fantasy dildos of this size are easily over $100, but the Uberrime Xenuphora won't break the bank. While the packaging may be lacking in my eyes, it makes sense that they'd focus on bringing the best dildo for such an affordable and accessible price instead for a wider audience!
Performance
The Uberrime Xenuphora exceeded my expectations. While I personally wish it was a little softer, I didn't mind its firmness and know that I'll be using this toy often in my future. It's a great quality dildo, with some of the most impressive textures and colors I've seen from an indie business. It's super customizable for customers and is easy to use! A very well performing dildo, for sure.
Packaging
The packaging was the only disappointing aspect of the Uberrime Xenuphora, but I get it. The makers of this dildo released this amazing quality toy to a wider audience by making it so affordable, and the packaging is minimal because of that. The Xenuphora is just in a plastic bag with labels on it. Personally, I prefer when businesses focus on recyclable materials and make a show out of the presentation of their toys, like including booklets or stickers or toy bags. But, again, I understand why the packing is so minimal and I'm grateful that this toy is as great as it is on its own!
Materials and care
The Uberrime Xenuphora is made out of body-safe platinum silicone. The dildo I received is a little on the heavier side, though I can't find a specific weight for it anywhere online. Even so, the density is customizable for customers so if you need a lighter toy then you can absolutely make that happen. It's high-quality and very comfortable either way! Alas, there is no storage bag to come with the Xenuphora, but thankfully it isn't too much of a lint collector! As it is only made of silicone, this toy is totally waterproof and easy to clean with warm soap and mild water. I'm a fan of additionally boiling my dildos to make sure they're extra sterile! Plus, how fun is it to make dildo soup? Look at that little guy!
