Why I Chose It

The Liberator Wedge “totally changed the game” for our sex toy expert Rachel and both her and her partner “could feel an immediate difference.”

To me, the Liberator Wedge is the quintessential sex wedge and an essential for anyone who loves good old missionary but craves more G-spot stimulation. I chose it as the test winner because it’s one of the classics. It’s quite simple and small compared to all the other sex pillows, but it has that perfect angle and the right amount of support that enhances the pleasure.  From my experience, sex wedges have the perfect angle to provide deeper and more comfortable G-spot stimulation. Still, they come in handy for all kinds of penetrative play, anal as well.  Although it’s hard to put your finger on the feeling, Rachel found that “the penetration felt deeper and much more satisfying.”

The only small issue she ran into was that although the soft velvety material felt lovely, it did cause her to slide down and need to reposition now and again.

I’m a massive fan of Liberator’s sex pillows, and love that they come with moisture-proof linings to protect the foam and machine-washable covers. Sexy and practical!

Why I Chose It

I chose the WhipSmart Love Cushion as the best for beginners, as I think the cute heart design makes it very approachable and it’s cheaper than the Liberator range.

Kiki tested it out for us and found this sex pillow “really does perfectly angle your pelvis for all kinds of fun.” She really liked the overall construction, commenting that the pillow is “very sturdy; the foam doesn’t collapse under weight, but it also wasn’t too hard.”

She also “love[d] the restraint element to this as well,” although she was a little disappointed that the cuffs weren’t the most comfortable and only really worked as ankle restraints due to the size. I think the restraints are a fun addition and a good choice for those looking to dip their toes into bondage play. For more advanced users who want a sex pillow specifically for bondage, I would opt for something stronger, like the Liberator Black Label Wedge Ramp Combo.

As a sex toy expert, I can definitely recommend the WhipSmart Love Cushion for beginners or those looking for a cute and simple sex pillow to use during sex. I see it as a good addition for penetrative or oral sex, and the added restraints are going to add some kinky spice to your play. But I don’t think it’s a good choice for those who require a lot of extra body support or have mobility issues.

While the Dominix Deluxe Sex Position Wedge isn’t super cheap, it’s still cheaper than the Liberator Wedge, which is the most similar in terms of size and shape! Unfortunately, most quality foam sex pillows just aren’t that cheap!

The Dominix Deluxe Sex Position Wedge is also one of the firmer sex pillows in the review. This does mean that it holds its shape very well, but our tester, Kathy, found it a little firm for her tastes. However, aside from that, she thought it was “a great toy for spicing up your sex positions!” She loved the support that it added in doggy and how it allowed her to “stay in position for ages.” She also noted that the added loops make it a “good product if you want to ‘dip your toes’ into the world of BDSM,” but you will have to provide your restraints.

I think the Dominix Deluxe Sex Position Wedge is a wonderful option if you want a classic sex wedge on a budget or a wider sex pillow for a couple’s play. The design, specifically the angle, is perfect for penetrative play, as it allows for deeper and more comfortable G-spot or P-spot stimulation.

Why I Chose It

I am absolutely in love with the Black Label Wedge Ramp Combo and either myself or my partner reach for one or both of this amazing sex pillows on a regular basis. Just using one under my hips makes a whole world of difference during penetrative sex!

As a sex toy expert, I specifically appreciate the versatility of this piece. You can really play around with both wedges, and the possibilities for trying out different sex positions are endless. I was pleasantly surprised that the pillows held together quite well and didn’t just slide off each other.

My favorite way to use the set is with the bigger ramp under the hips for more elevation and the smaller wedge to prop up my head, so I don’t feel like I’m lying upside down. Me and my boyfriend find this position works fantastic for oral for both of us, as the added pelvic height gives better access and makes it easier on the neck.

It’s super fun to add in the restraints and I found them super comfy! They clip on with plastic clips but there’s also metal D-rings if you want to use your own. They are pretty sturdy as well, so I can highly recommend them as a sex pillow for bondage play! 

I also have to mention that the blindfolded included is the best I have ever come across! It has a padded strip on the bottom that makes it super comfy and really blocks out the light!

Why I Chose It

The Jaz was my first sex pillow and even though I tend to use the Wedge Ramp Combo more these days, I still think it’s a great pillow if you are tight on space or want a more travel-friendly option.

It’s still got all the usual pros of Liberator’s sex furniture, like super soft velvety cover and a moisture-resistant liner, just in a smaller package!

In my experience, the Jaz works great under the hips in missionary (or missionary adjacent) sex positions, but it wasn’t quite high enough for doggy or other styles. I can also imagine it wouldn’t be the best for those in bigger bodies.

Why I Chose It

I went for the BonBon over other toy mounts because it’s the most versatile in terms of which toys you can use it with. I love the idea of combining sex pillows with sex toys, as most sex furniture pieces are designed with couples in mind, and this one is a brilliant toy both for solo and couple’s play!

Our tester, Kasia, said the BonBon is “a revolutionary tool for masturbation” and also found it “comes in very handy during penetrative sex.” She found it was great for “extra support during doggy style” and “opened the door for extra creativity in the bedroom.” She loved how she could have a different experience by riding her favorite toys hands-free.

The BonBon has a different design than the sex wedges; it’s more rounded and higher, which in solo play will be perfect for grinding and bouncing, and for couple’s play, I recommend using it for doggy-style positions or oral play.

The sex toy hole worked well for rabbits and dildos, but it wouldn’t work for smaller toys or full-sized wands. If you do want a mount for wands, I can personally recommend the Liberator Wanda, which I really enjoyed testing!

I had to add the Liberator Flip Ramp as it is an amazing piece of equipment! It’s one of the most versatile sex pillows on my list, and I specifically chose it for those looking for a lot of body support.

Our tester, Cassie, and her partner “had a blast trying out the Liberator Flip Ramp”. They loved that it “provide[d] great support during longer sessions.” She also noted that it makes for some comfy living room lounging too! Her only critique was that it might not work so well for people in larger bodies, as although it’s high-density foam, it might not hold all weights.

I love multipurpose tools, and this one really delivers on that front. Folded out, it’s like a small sex chaise with curves to support your body, and folded up, it makes a fantastic spanking bench or stool! From my professional experience, I see it as a great choice for those who want a sex pillow that offers full body support, and it will work amazingly for stabilizing your body for longer periods during many different sex positions. I also like that it is sturdy enough to support two people at once, which opens the door for exploring even more exciting positions!
