Personal Experience

When I first received the We-Vibe Sync, my partner and I tested it together, and it’s still a toy I’ll reach for if I’m craving a little extra clitoral stimulation during PIV sex. I had to play around with the positioning to get the toy to sit properly between our bodies and get the external arm resting comfortably against my clit. Thanks to the hinged design and bendy internal arm, this only took a minute or so. Before we started having PIV sex, we tested a few of the toy’s settings to see which ones we liked best. Design

The We-Vibe Sync comes in two equally pretty colours, a plum purple or a blue/green "aqua". The Sync features a motor in each arm for dual stimulation. It's a well-thought-out design and one that the company has continually refined over the years with its various iterations of wearable vibrators. Probably my favorite feature of the Sync's design is its adjustable fit. It features a moveable hinge between the two arms, and the tail of the internal arm is very flexible. Since bodies come in different shapes and sizes, it's useful to be able to adjust the toy so that it sits securely and comfortably on each unique body.

Ease of Use

The Sync can be operated in three ways: via a single button on the outside of the external section, with the accompanying remote control, or through the We-Connect smartphone app. The app is fairly easy to use, though takes a little effort to sync up and learn how it works (see above for more information.) I find the remote control the most intuitive, as you can switch between the ten different vibration modes as well as turn the speed up or down. I don't like the button on the toy itself so much, as its functionality is quite limited and if you miss the setting you want, you have to scroll all the way back through.

Quality

I've had my We-Vibe Sync for over 4 years and it still works like new. We-Vibe crafts quality products that are built to last. The Sync is made of soft, body-safe and durable silicone which still feels as high quality today as it did on the very first use. I haven't had any problems with the motors, battery life, or any other declines that some toys suffer from after a few years. A top quality product that should serve you well for many years.

Price

The We-Vibe Sync retails at $199 at full price. It's not a cheap toy, and it's always a gamble to spend so much on a product that may or may not work for you. If this style of toy works for you, though, you'll be paying for quality materials, quality manufacturing, and impressive longevity. The Sync is far from the lowest entry-point into this style of toy, price-wise, but I do believe it's one of the best on the market.

Performance

My enduring love for We-Vibe products is largely due to the strong, rumbly motors the company uses. Though I'm among the smallish percentage of people with vulvas who can sometimes reach orgasm through G-spot stimulation, I much prefer clitoral pleasure most of the time and have my most satisfying orgasms that way. So having a toy that I can use to enjoy those powerful clitoral orgasms while having PIV sex with my partner is an absolute godsend. Once the toy was in place and I'd adjusted it to fit, it performed admirably. I've come back to it again and again, not just during partnered sex but also as a toy for solo masturbation.

Packaging

The We-Vibe Sync arrived in a branded box with a colorful, abstract design on the front and information about the toy on the back. The packaging looks and feels luxurious, and it felt like a real treat to receive and unbox this product. Inside, along with the toy, you get the docking stand/storage case, the remote control, a charging cable, an instruction booklet, and a little sachet of We-Vibe branded water-based lube. I appreciated the effort that has clearly gone into presentation, and that it didn't feature tonnes of single-use plastic.

Materials and care

The We-Vibe Sync is coated in silicone, which is a phthalate-free, non-porous, and completely body-safe material. Since the Sync is waterproof, it's easy to clean. I like to wipe mine down with a body-safe sterile wipe (I buy these in bulk from a medical supplies website) and then rinse it off with warm water and a gentle soap. Since the docking stand also functions as a storage case, it's easy to keep your toy clean, safe, and dust-free in storage.

Special feature

I was initially going to talk about the We-Connect app here, but actually I think the We-Vibe Sync’s best feature is its adjustability. With so many wearable toys, I give up because they just don’t fit with my body. The combination of the hinge and the bendy arm make the We-Vibe Sync body-friendly for far more people. It also means you can adjust the toy depending on how much direct clitoral pressure you prefer.
