Personal Experience

I have done the majority of this review relying on my 30 years’ experience in the sex toy industry. After all, I have watched sex toys change and evolve from hard plastic vibrators exclusively for females to a whole new realm of playthings for everyone! Design

The design of the Pulse Duo Lux is quite unique from any other stroker. Created with Silicone, ABS, this stroker has wings designed to curl around the top-side of the penis while the sensitive underside is bathed in incredible vibrations from the pulse plate. This holds it in place for true, hands-free play. In addition, Hot Octopuss added another vibrator to the bottom of the stroker that allows a partner to ride the toy and enjoy their own exciting vibrations. The wrist strap remotes allow for teasing that will send one another into another orbit! Unfortunately, if you have a thick penis, you may have problems sliding into the stroker.

Ease of Use

You would think the Pulse Duo Lux would be simple enough to use. You slide your penis in, flip it up on your belly, have your partner jump on and there you go. However, this stroker definitely wasn’t created for girthy penises and it has very little give to it. Plus, the controls are pretty difficult to learn. One remote operates the pulse plate, the other controls the exterior vibrator. You can go up and down though speeds and patterns with one, but not the other. And using the buttons on the stroker is even more confusing. Thank goodness there’s a turbo button because until you learn all of the buttons, you can press that one and tease your partner. The whole thing was a huge learning curve for me, hopefully, it won’t be so difficult for you!

Quality

The Pulse Duo Lux is made of body-safe silicone, ABS. It’s thick, masculine and ribbed in all the right places. The wrist straps are silicone and well-constructed with ease-of-use in mind. The remote controls pop free easily, however, they are very small and a bit difficult to hold onto. Overall, this is a quality product that will last through vigorous solo and couples play.

Price

The Pulse Duo Lux is one of those luxury, investment toys. It’s definitely not a cheap masturbating sleeve that you’ll be tossing in the trash after a few months’ use. Made from thick, silicone, ABS, it’s sculpted to surround your penis in mind-blowing vibrations by stimulating the sensitive underside though the pulse plate. And the fact that you can stimulate your partner too, makes it a whole new ballgame! Plus, the hands-free capabilities will add a whole new dimension to foreplay and sex. Well worth the money, in my opinion! Do it, you won’t regret it.

Performance

The Pulse Duo Lux performed just as a top-tier sex toy should! With a full charge, you’re able to get several play sessions without having to recharge! The motors don’t bog down much with pressure but do slow down a tad bit. However, considering that the motors are powerful, you simply jump up to the next level or hit the turbo setting. The toy didn’t get hot at all during use, well, with the exception of body heat! Overall, an extremely well-made sex toy that is well worth spending your hard-earned cash on as well as being a sex toy that will last!

Packaging

The packaging is your standard, cardboard box with an interior piece of cardboard that holds the Pulse Duo Lux in place. The exterior of the box does have some adult illustrations, so you probably won’t want to keep it around if you have little ones in the house. Fortunately, the folks at Hot Octopuss thought of everything and included a nice, drawstring, satin bag to store your toy in after use.

Materials and care

The product description lists the stroker materials as “silicone, ABS” and the same with the wrist remotes. The only way I can see that the stroker is silicone, ABS is that it is mixed in order to give the stroker it’s unique, firm shape. With that in mind, you should always use a water-based lubricant when using the Pulse Duo Lux. However, since the stroker is completely waterproof and submersible, clean up is a breeze. Simply use a mild soap and warm water or a toy cleanser formulated for silicone toys. Then, pat it dry and store it in the enclosed drawstring bag.

Special feature

The Hot Octopuss Pulse Duo Lux has a few features that I feel are extremely unique compared to other strokers. First, the pulse plate offers targeted stimulation to the underside of the penis, right where the glans meets the shaft. And, with the way its wings wrap around the shaft, you can use it hands-free. Second, the exterior vibrator allows for you to use the toy with a partner, also hands-free; imagine what else your hands can be doing! And finally, the stroker can be used by people with disabilities as well as those suffering from erectile dysfunction. Therefore, this amazing stroker is the perfect sex toy for everyone with a penis!
