A New Vibe in the World of Wands

The Vibes are Delightfully Distinct

Design

The Pulse Queen generally feels lovely, and its visual look is distinct and pretty. The wand has ergonomic smooth ridges and curves making the design look sleek and concurrently easy to hold. The wand's silicone is a light sea green color — I certainly appreciated this color amongst my collection of pink and purple toys! The ABS plastic on the handle (where the buttons of the device are located) is an artistic fading of black and green colors. The buttons on the ABS plastic handle portion are raised and grey in color, a color choice distinct enough where I can find the buttons easily but doesn't distract from the overall design's color theme.

Ease of Use

The Pulse Queen ranks high on the ease-of-use rating. The wand is easy to hold and easy to operate: The wand is ergonomically shaped to fit in your hand during solo play or partner play. The buttons on the wand are easy find and also easy to use and press. I do find the vibrations start at medium-low and so I recommend warming up before using the wand, if you are sensitive. In addition, if you grind against the plate, the oscillations stop, so you have to become accustomed to not placing a high amount of pressure on the plate itself. Lastly, the charging of the device is through inserting a USB charger into the hand's end; I find this type of charging not as convenient as an external type of charging system.

Quality

Overall, the Pulse Queen is effortless to use and feels like a high-quality product. The wand is pretty to look at and the vibrating plate of the wand is integrated well into the handle of the wand (the head and the wand are covered completely in silky silicone). The handle has a smaller piece of ABS plastic that is also smooth and has an artistic touch of a blend of colors, which makes it pretty and soft to hold. However, between the ABS plastic and the silicone of the wand, there is a very small gap; The gap doesn't affect the function of the wand but makes the wand more difficult to clean. Furthermore, a high-quality charging system would offer external charging, whereas with the Pulse Queen you have to insert the charger through a hole in the silicone itself.

Price

The Pulse Queen is a more expensive vibration toy (though not the most expensive wand-type vibrator out there), but I feel the toy is worth paying more than a moderately cost wand. The wand is powerful, pretty, ergonomic, and offers a unique experience for advanced or new vibrator users alike. The Pulse Queen has easy controls, is easy to handle, and can be seamlessly used in solo or partner play, and the oscillating plate of the wand's head offers a new broad, rumbly, deep sensation. The wand also comes with a one-year warranty. I would definitely pay the higher price tag to have this in my toy collection, as it will be one of the vibe wands that I regularly power up and put into play mode!

Performance

The Pulse Queen promises to be a wand that offers a new vibration-like sensation experience through "pulse plate technology" through oscillations that are under the silicone head (plate) of the wand. I do find the sensation to be a unique experience because the rumbles of the oscillation plate are broad and simultaneous powerful; Combined with the ergonomic shape of the Pulse Queen, this wand is indeed a new experience I thoroughly enjoyed. In addition, the device never got hot when I used it, the battery life is 40 minutes long, and the charging takes only about two and a half hours. The wand is not the quietest vibrator out there but the sound it emits is still moderate on the scale of vibe loudness.

Packaging

The Pulse Queen comes in a paper box with a picture of the wand on the front of cover. I found this packaging attractive and eye-catching (there are splashes of color that give the presentation vibrancy), but I do prefer to see the toy I'm buying through a clear, plastic window. I feel boxes that do have a clear covering allow the toy to be show-cased and displayed too.

Materials and care

The Pulse Queen is made of body-safe silicone and ABS plastic. The wand feels and looks high-quality: The silicone of the wand is very silky and the handle of the wand (the ABS plastic) is smooth to the touch. The wand is 100% waterproof, and you can use a toy-safe cleaner and rinse to keep the Pulse Queen clean. Overall, the toy is easy to clean except the handle's buttons and the gap between the ABS plastic and silicone require extra diligence to keep clean around. For the buttons and the gap as described, I would recommend a Q-tip or other small cleaning instrument to assure a more thorough clean. The wand can be stored in the black, draw-string fabric bag it comes with.
