Lelo Soraya 2 – Test & Review

My Personal Experiences

Believe it or not, but the Lelo Soraya 2 is the first rabbit vibrator I’ve ever owned. Coming into the experience, I was feeling a mixture of excitement over the prospect of some dual g-spot and clitoral action, and a little nervousness after having about problems with anatomy and fit in a lot of rabbit vibrator reviews.
Trying it Out
On first impression, the Soraya 2 looks completely gorgeous. The teal, the gold, the sleek black packaging – I knew I was in for a treat. I knew beforehand that I really love g-spot stimulation and can orgasm from it alone (sometimes), but combining g-spot vibrations with clitoral vibrations really took it to a whole new level. After giving it a whirl or two, my worries about whether it would fit my body were proved unfounded. The curved design of the shaft makes it a breeze to insert (with plenty of water-based lube, provided in a little sachet by Lelo), the rabbit arm was flexible enough to adjust with my body and hit the right spots. The bulbous tip of the shaft also did an amazing job of both warming up the clitoris and massaging the g-spot. Though the size did surprise me a little at first, I quickly got used to it and enjoyed the fullness.
Design

I'm in love with how the Soraya 2 looks. The teal color and the gold metallic touches are both gorgeous, and feels like a super luxurious addition to my collection. I also love the curviness and general lack of traditional 'sex-toy-ness' about it – some rabbit vibrator designs in particular make me cringe to look at. The silicone feels very soft to the touch, and the plastic metallic parts are smooth and recessed into the body, so I didn't feel any hardness or poking when I used it.

Ease of Use

Its very lightweight and the curved body means I didn't have to do much reaching to insert it comfortably. The flexible arm was a really nice addition, and I actually preferred that it wasn't 'adjustable' in different fixed positions, as it meant that actually hugged my clitoris more closely. Figuring out the best way to hold it took a little time, as I initially wanted to grasp the silicone part of the base rather than using the loop. The 3 button interface is fairly intuitive and ergonomic to use – press the middle button to turn it on and cycle through the modes, and press or hold the plus or minus buttons to adjust the intensity. If you keep pressing the minus button, however, it does turn off eventually, which was a little annoying.

Quality

Lelo is known for their high-quality products, and the Soraya 2 is no exception. It looks and feels incredibly well-designed and well-made. Despite how light it is, it feels sturdy and durable, too. In fact, I was a little intimidated when I first received it from how expensive it felt! On its lower settings, the Soraya 2's vibrations are barely audible, and even on the highest setting I doubt they could be heard from another room (unless you have very thin walls, perhaps).

Price

There's no doubt in my mind that the quality and performance of the Lelo Soraya 2 warrant a premium sex toy price tag. However, I would also say that this vibrator is priced at the very highest end of the luxury sex toy spectrum. It's definitely an investment, and, if I'm being completely honest, I would not be prepared to spend that much of my own paycheck on it. Perhaps if it came with a more sturdy storage solution than its little pouch, or some other extras, I might reconsider, but it doesn't seem to go beyond the usual 'nice sex toy' package.

Performance

As I said before, this is my first rabbit vibrator, and I was surprised by how much I loved the feeling. The vibrations are rumbly and deep, even on the lower intensity levels, and the dual motors mean that you can really feel the effects both internally and externally. I normally don't care about vibration patterns, but I actually enjoyed the modes that alternated between the two arms and teased both areas. The bulbous insertable arm gave a nice sense of fullness and the rabbit arm was large enough to give good coverage of the clitoris and still deliver some pinpoint stimulation. And the battery life – wow! After the initial charge, I haven't needed to plug it in again, even after testing it out extensively in my hands.

Packaging

I like the packaging. It's simple and yet very pretty, in the classic luxurious black and gold. When I first received it, it felt like getting a super expensive and exclusive gift, and I was so excited to open it. It was also nice to be able to actually see the product immediately through the plastic window. Inside was a soft black drawstring storage pouch, a small sachet of Lelo's water-based lube, a basic instruction leaflet and a 1-year warranty card.

Materials and care

Most of the body is covered with velvety-soft silicone that feels great against the skin. It does, however, pick up bits of lint if it's out of its storage pouch for too long, and has a bit of a plastic smell up close, but it wasn't off-putting. The metallic parts are made of body-safe ABS plastic, and I have more mixed feelings about them. They look amazing and really luxurious, but they pick up so many fingerprints! This kind of design also makes cleaning a bit tricky. The Soraya 2 is completely waterproof and can be washed with soap and water, but it's quite difficult to get into all the crevices where the plastic and silicone meet and avoid bacteria build-up.
Special feature
While performing incredibly well, the Lelo Soraya 2 doesn’t actually do a whole lot differently when it comes to rabbit vibrators. That’s in terms of vibrations and settings, anyway. One thing that does set it apart, however, is its design. Not only is it a beauty to behold, but every inch of it is designed with your body in mind. The curved shaft allows for easy insertion without having to overreach your arm awkwardly, and the flexibility of the bulbed rabbit arm means that you can hit the right spot without having to compromise your g-spot stimulation or use your other arm to hold it in the right place.

Conclusion
I love the Soraya 2. It just hits the right spots for me, and the orgasms it delivers are unlike anything I can get from my other toys. It was relatively simple to get going with, too, and worked pretty quickly, so I often reach for it for a solo session if I don’t want to take too much time getting there. There are times, however, where I tend not to use it, and that’s often because I’m craving some more powerful vibrations. If you’re one of those people who needs very strong vibrations for your clitoris (or even your g-spot), the Soraya 2 may not be your perfect match. They’re very rumbly, but I sometimes prefer the more buzzy and intense vibrations of my trusty bullet vibrator. I also tend not to use it if I’m not on my own. While I know that some people love to include rabbit vibrators in their partner play, it doesn’t really give your partner much to do, and both me and my boyfriend prefer a little more involvement from both sides! And lastly, but definitely not least, there’s the issue of price. The Soraya 2 is one of the most expensive rabbit vibrators on the market today. While there’s absolutely nothing wrong with splashing out and treating yourself to a very luxurious and well-made sex toy, it just doesn’t seem to me that the Soraya 2 has enough different features, extra accessories or innovative technology that would inspire me to pay so much for it. But, that being said, if you want to pamper yourself and make an investment in your sexual happiness, I highly recommend this toy.
