Product description

The Lelo Gigi 2 is a slim g-spot vibrator with an ergonomic curved shape that is designed with the contours of your body in mind. The flattened tip is sculpted for a perfect g-spot massage, and it has 8 patterns of vibrations that are quiet and discreet, as well as multiple levels of intensity.

My Personal Experiences

Lelo Gigi 2 - My Personal Experiences

The Lelo Gigi 2 has some pretty serious sex toy pedigree. Not only is it made by one of the most well-known luxury sex toy brands out there, it’s also known by the moniker of ‘the world’s best-selling g-spot vibrator’. That’s a big achievement, but the real question for me is… is it good? I previously gave the Lelo Soraya 2 rabbit vibrator a whirl, and there was a lot I liked about it – the powerful, rumbly vibrations, the high-quality silicone, and more. So, I was excited to experience something similar, but with a slimmer, more ergonomically-designed shape that might suit my body (and my tastes) a little better. And, after I gave the Gigi 2 a go… I’m still not sure what to think about it!

My Likes

Let’s start with the positives. The shape? Amazing! The slim, slightly curved shaft made it a breeze to maneuver comfortably, and it found my g-spot almost immediately. Then there’s its signature flattened tip, which really did seem to live up to the hype. It allowed much greater contact with my g-spot than other insertable vibrators, and I was able to move it around comfortably for a real g-spot massage. I tried it out as a g-spot vibrator, obviously, but it also saw quite a lot of use as a clitoral stimulator, too. It just seemed natural, as it’s pretty small and lightweight, so my arm and wrist didn’t get too tired. All good so far, right? After experiencing all of this great stuff, I was getting really excited about the Gigi 2. But then I tried to up the intensity of the vibrations, which is where it went kind-of downhill…

My Dislikes

The Lelo Gigi 2 doesn’t produce anything like the powerful vibrations of other Lelo products like the Soraya 2. They’re rumbly, sure, but they seem to stay at a quiet, conservative level that, for me, leaves a lot to be desired. It’s not that the weaker vibrations didn’t work at all – it’s just that they took forever to do anything! I found myself feeling frustrated after a while of using it, which, annoyingly, made things take even longer. This was especially true during partner sex. When I use vibrators with my partner, I prefer something that’s going to help me orgasm without a long wait. However, at some points using the Gigi 2, I had to concede that it wasn’t going to happen anytime soon, and my boyfriend should probably not have hold things back any longer. Instead, I continued using it on my own (with some help from him), which was okay in the end, but not the best feeling in the world. Using it for solo sessions, I found myself getting frustrated that it would get me close, but not quite over the line. A few times, I switched at the end to the more powerful We-Vibe Tango X to finish things off. Perhaps if Lelo had added one or two higher vibration speeds to the Gigi 2, it could’ve become one of my favorites.

Lelo Gigi 2 - Design

Perhaps the Lelo Gigi 2's greatest selling point is its flattened tip, designed for perfect, broad-yet-firm g-spot massage. I was a huge fan of it – the amount of surface area it covered made for some really great sensations. The rest of the shaft is slim and curved, which made it comfortable to insert and use without a whole load of prep. However, I feel like Lelo is very attached to designing sex toys that are part silicone- and part plastic-covered. Of course, this isn't a bad thing in itself (just look at how much I loved the We-Vibe Tango X), but sometimes it does create crevices where stuff can get lodged.

Ease of Use

Lelo Gigi 2 - Ease of Use

The Lelo Gigi 2 is very approachable for beginners. It's small and lightweight, and the slim shaft is perfect for those who don't have a ton of experience with insertable toys or penetration in general. One thing I do like about the hard plastic handle is that it makes the buttons so much easier to use. Even with the more complex controls, they're easy to locate and make a click-y sound when pressed – way easier than silicone-covered buttons. If I'm being nitpick-y, it's a little annoying and unintuitive that the patterns don't cycle though. If you're exploring them and want to go back to the beginning, then you have to click the 'back' button all the way back to the start.

Lelo Gigi 2 - Quality

The Gigi 2 is a Lelo product, and it carries the same hallmark of quality as any other Lelo toy. The silicone is smooth and velvet-y soft, the construction is solid, there's no rattle-y parts. It just works, and that reliability is not to be underestimated!

Lelo Gigi 2 - Price<

Another common theme of Lelo's products is their premium price tags. The Lelo Gigi 2 is not cheap! Of course, the quality and power of this vibrator warrant a price that takes into account all of these features, but I would say that the Gigi 2 isn't particularly accessible financially-speaking to those who don't have a lot of sex toy experience or aren't sure about committing to such a high-price toy. Yet, in a way that's exactly who the Gigi 2 is aimed toward.

Lelo Gigi 2 - Performance

The vibrations from the Lelo Gigi 2 are, in my opinion, a bit of a mixed bag. Rumbles? Yes, definitely – the vibrations are super deep and rumbly, making for an excellent g-spot massage. But powerful? Not so much. I'm not someone who can only function with the world's most powerful wand vibrator or whatever, but I do need vibrations that are on the stronger side. I spoke more in detail about my experiences above, but the short version is that, both as a g-spot vibrator and a clitoral one, the Gigi 2 never quite reached the peaks I was hoping for.

Lelo Gigi 2 - Packaging

The Gigi 2's packaging follows the standard Lelo packaging conventions, and I quite like it! The black and gold feels luxurious, like opening a really nice gift, but it does also feel a little flimsy. Inside, you also get a satin storage pouch, a small sachet of lube, a quick instruction manual and a warranty card for one year.

Materials and care

Lelo Gigi 2 - Materials and care

As I mentioned earlier, all of the Lelo Gigi 2's materials feel super high-quality. I love the silicone on Lelo products – it's always so silky soft that you just want to touch it. It's made with 100% non-porous materials and is completely waterproof, so it can be cleaned with good old soap and water. The issue with having a hard plastic handle is that there is a slight gap where the two materials meet. After you've used it, you really have to get in there with your nail or some other poke-y device to clean out all the residue – which isn't the most fun experience.

Special Feature

Lelo Gigi 2 - Special Feature

Perhaps the biggest stand-out feature of the Lelo Gigi 2 is its larger, flattened tip. It is designed to have greater contact with your g-spot than other, more traditionally-shaped g-spot vibrators, which means greater pleasure for you! The g-spot, which is actually a part of your clitoris that extends inside your body, is a patch of tissue on the front wall of your vagina (towards your belly, not your bum), about 2 inches in. It’s incredibly sensitive, and can produce amazing sensations when touched and massaged. Some vagina-owners can orgasm from g-spot stimulation alone, while others can feel the benefits of blended g-spot and clitoral stimulation. The flat tip provides a larger surface area to put pressure on and massage the g-spot, and for the Gigi 2’s vibrations to do their magic.

  • Slimmer shaft

My recommendation for whether to go ahead and take the plunge on the Lelo Gigi 2 is really split down the middle. If you're a beginner to g-spot vibrators, prefer a slimmer insertable toy, or aren't bothered about super powerful vibrations, I think the Gigi 2 could be a great fit for you. It's expertly designed, easy to use, compact and lightweight – all in all, very approachable! However, the weak vibrations were something I just could not ignore, and are something that I think may disappoint a lot of users, especially those who are familiar with Lelo's other supercharged vibrators. And for those on the fence, I would advise you to take a look at the price tag and make your risk/reward evaluation from there.

How to Use the Lelo Gigi 2

The Lelo Gigi 2 is surprisingly versatile! Of course, it is primarily designed as a insertable vibrator, but with a little creativity it can be used for a fair few of your sweet spots. Just don't use it anally, as it doesn't have a flared base or anything to stop it from accidentally going too far in, getting stuck and/or causing you an injury.

G-Spot Stimulation

G-Spot Stimulation

Use the Gigi 2's flattened tip for an intense g-spot massage. To make it extra exciting, vary the pressure you apply and move it around in different patterns.

Clitoral Stimulation

Clitoral Stimulation

The Gigi 2 also makes a great clitoral vibrator. It's small and lightweight, so you can use it alone or with a partner, in all kinds of positions. Go between broad stimulation with the tip, or more precise stimulation with the edges.

Nipple Stimulation

Nipple Stimulation

Anyone can enjoy the rumbly vibrations of the Gigi 2 by gently teasing the nipples. Move around the areolas to tantalize your partner, or hold it against the nipples themselves for more intense sensations.

Perineum Stimulation

Perineum Stimulation

Even though it can't be used inside the anus, the Gigi 2 can still please your perineum. This is the area between the vagina/testicles and the anus, which contains a huge amount of nerve endings and can feel incredible when massaged.

Yes! Despite being labelled as a g-spot vibrator, the Gigi 2 can work wonders on the clitoris. Alternate between using the broader tip and the edges to add more variety.

No, the Gigi 2 does not have a flared base or a large enough handle that would prevent it from going too far into the anus, getting stuck and necessitating a trip to the ER. Therefore, you should not use it anally.

The Gigi 2 is partially made of silicone, and therefore requires that you use a water-based lube to prevent the material from getting damaged and becoming unsafe to use.

The Gigi 2 is waterproof and can be cleaned using water and a mild soap. Simply lather it up and make sure to clean out the small crevice where the silicone and plastic meet. Alternatively, you can use a purpose made toy cleaner spray, foam or wipes.

The Gigi 2 is not as powerful as other Lelo vibrators, and may not satisfy those who need very powerful vibrations to orgasm. However, it can easily be paired with other toys or used as a foreplay tool.

Squirting isn't a one-solution-fits-all kind of deal. Some people can do it, and some people can't. Furthermore, some people can do it sometimes and not at others. However, as a general rule, it's a good idea to get really aroused beforehand, so you're really in the mood by the time you use the Gigi 2.

The Lelo Gigi 2 comes with a warranty card where you can find your product's serial number. Register this number with Lelo to activate your warranty.
