The Mimi Soft from Je Joue is a pebble-shaped vibrator with a soft, curved stimulation tip. I love the smooth, minimal design — it's like finding a perfect completely smooth pebble on the beach that you just want to hold and turn over in your hands. The silicone has a velvety matt finish and comes in a choice of colors, including the classic sex toy purple in this review. It's about the size of the palm of my hand and is easy to hold during use. I really love I can use the tip for more direct, pinpoint stimulation or lay it horizontally between my labia for broad stimulation, which I like to use as a sort of warm-up. The only small decoration is the imprint of the Je Joue logo at the base of the toy but this isn't really that noticeable, which I appreciate.

The buttons on the Je Joue Mimi Soft are relatively intuitive to use — two buttons to increase/decrease through the 5 speeds and one to scroll through the 7 patterns. It is also easy to charge with the magnetic USB charger — you just need to make sure you see a flashing light to confirm that it is charging. The buttons are a little on the small side and it's quite difficult to distinguish between the + and - that turn the intensity up and down, so it's easy to press the wrong one. They are also quite small and shallow, so might not be the most practical if you have any issues with your hands.

How Well-made is it?

After using the Je Joue Mimi Soft for a couple of months, I can report that the battery lasts pretty well and it doesn't overheat when in use. I have, however, noticed that the silicone cover has come away from the solid core of the device, meaning there can be some air bubbles under the silicone. After doing a bit of research, this seems to be a fairly common complaint with the Je Joue Mimi Soft and while it doesn't affect the use of the device, it does lower the score when it comes to quality.

Evaluating the Pricing of the Je Joue Mimi Soft

I feel like the price tag is pretty standard for this type of vibrator. However, at this price, I feel the quality could be a little higher, the higher-level vibrations a little rumblier, and there should really be a storage bag included at this price level.

Does it Deliver on Performance?

The vibration quality is much rumblier on the lower settings and tends to get a bit more buzzy after from the 3rd setting upwards. Also, the toy device becomes quite uncomfortable to hold when using the level 4 or 5 vibration settings, as the vibrations travel into my hand, which starts to get tingly after a very short time. I wouldn't say the Mimi Soft is particularly loud nor particularly quiet — the volume ranges from around 30 decibels on the lower settings to 50 decibels on the highest settings, but this gets dampened a lot when it's under a duvet. There are six pulsing and rolling patterns to play with as well as the steady vibration setting, which is my favorite.

This pebble-like vibe comes nestled in a thick card box with a deep purple feather print and a matt-feel finish. Inside, there is a carboard structure used to present the device itself and house the charger. While the packaging is nothing to write home about, I like that there is minimal plastic and you can tell that Je Joue has made an effort to create a luxury vibe for this luxury vibe.

Materials and care

The overall simplicity of the Mimi Soft is one of its big advantages and that includes cleaning. Unlike some sex toys that have lots of nooks and crannies to clean and dry, the Mimi's simple pebble-shape design is a breeze to wash and dry! The device is fully waterproof and covered in body-safe silicone, meaning it can be washed using a sensitive, fragrance-free soap and water or a sex toy cleaner. For the best silky, slippery sensations, add a slick of water-based lube to the Je Joue Mimi before getting busy! The only downside is that once you've cleaned and dried the Mimi, you'll have to find a practical way to store it, as it doesn't come with a storage bag, and the box is a bit bulky to keep next to the bed!

The soft in Mimi Soft refers to the squishy silicone tip at the top of the pebble. While it’s not super squishy, it definitely feels good to squeeze and makes it more comfortable to press into your body. This pressure also feels like it helps the vibrations penetrate further for deeper stimulation.
