Oh, Tenga!
I’ve been a Tenga fan for years, particularly for their Tenga Eggs as a person with bottom growth. I was surprised I hadn’t heard much about Iroha sooner, the arm of Tenga that makes luxury vibrators “by women, for women.” When I saw the Iroha+ collection, including the Kushi, Tori, and Yoru, I was optimistic and excited!The Cushy Kushi
I can’t get over how soft and squishy the Iroha+ Kushi is! I love the design of this toy, from its simplistic one-button system to the soft silicone, and especially the squishy tip and ridges. This vibrator reminds me of the Dame Pom in a lot of ways, from how soft it is to its uber-cute design. This vibrator is extra cozy and comfortable to hold and use. Plus, I love a toy I can take into the bath or shower, especially one that is so wonderfully lightweight!How Good is the Kushi Really?
The Kushi didn’t disappoint, but it didn’t exceed any expectations either. When I think of how it compares to the Dame Pom, and how similar the two are, I like the Kushi a little less. This toy comes at a bit of a pricier cost, around $110 for a vibe that fits in your palm, isn’t super strong, and doesn’t come with any accessories except a charger and a manual. I praise toy companies that put extra time into their marketing and packaging, like the ROMP Jazz and its sexy sticker pack or the Dame Com‘s adorable toy bag.Chillax with a Good Vibe!
At the end of the day, I still really love the Tenga Iroha+ Kushi. It’s a toy I know I’ll be recommending to folks down the line, especially those who want an alternative palm vibrator to other similar ones out there. While the price point is a bit much for my tastes, it makes sense that it’s around the same quality and cost as the Dame Pom, as they’re such similar toys. The Kushi gives me a comfy vacation with its cutesie beach shell design, I know this toy won’t be leaving my bedside anytime soon!Design
While the Tenga Iroha+ Kushi has a very basic look, it still looks luxurious! Out of the three toys in the Iroha+ collection, I love the design of the Kushi most due to its ridges and squishy silicone. Not only does it look pretty, it feels like a dream. I love how soft this vibrator is, and think it looks very cute on my bedside table. If you ask me, the Tenga Iroha+ Kushi is a toy for the femmes and girlies, as seen by the Iroha mission on being made by women, for women. As someone who prefers widespread vibration, my only issue is the Kushi's motor, where most vibrations are in the tip of and not much is going on in the wider section of the toy.
Ease of Use
The Tenga Iroha+ Kushi may lead to come issues for those with mobility issues. I love how small it is, but that's also an issue for me as well. As a fat person with some issues with wrist mobility, I sometimes had trouble finding the perfect angle to fit the vibrator against my body. However, with the use of a pillow underneath me if laying on my stomach, or using it with my partner while in missionary, the toy was a lot easier to manage. Plus, it only has the one button and it's fairly hard to miss thanks to its large size!
Quality
I think the quality of the Tenga Iroha+ Kushi is solid! It feels... affordable, if that makes sense. It's sturdy and reliable, with a quiet motor, though I've found it to be lacking when I try to add a little too much pressure when pushing it harder against my body. I can't get over how soft and comfortable the silicone is, and that's really what makes me say it's a good quality vibrator. At the end of the day, it feels and looks good quality-wise, though it's a little pricey for my tastes.
Price
Compared to other palm vibrators, the Tenga Iroha+ Kushi is a bit pricier than I expected it to be. There aren't many frills to come with the toy, just the Kushi, a charger, and a manual in its simplistic, pretty box. I was surprised to see that this toy costs more than similar vibrators, like the Dame Pom. Personally, the price point of this toy feels a bit too high, especially since there isn't even a toy bag or even cute stickers or something similar. However, if you love palm vibrators and want something pretty and luxurious, then the Kushi could absolutely be worth it for you!
Performance
The vibrations of the Tenga Iroha+ Kushi are about average. I wasn't disappointed, but it definitely didn't exceed any expectations. The toy is quiet, though not as quiet as my former beloved WeVibe Melt (RIP), and it didn't heat up from running for too long. It was soft, comfortable throughout my sessions with it, and the battery didn't die on me during my ~1 hour or so of use at a time. It recharges in about two hours, lasts about an hour or so, and it's waterproof! The performance was solidly, well, good!
Packaging
Iroha is a pretty, simplistic arm to Tenga, showcasing its feminine side. The packaging exemplifies the Iroha brand, bringing a cute, classy look to the Tenga Iroha+ Kushi box. I think that for the brand, the design of the packaging is just right. It's more discreet and simplistic, without any big thrills or frills. For many folks, especially those wanting that feminine appeal, this is a great choice of packaging. Personally, I was a bit underwhelmed. We all have our tastes!
Materials and care
The materials of the Tenga Iroha+ Kushi are body-safe and non-porous, made of silky-smooth silicone. It is a very lightweight vibrator that's as easy to toss in your hand as a little ball. It's high-quality, made of very good quality material, and best of all it's totally waterproof. Take this bad boy in the bath! Thanks to its silicone also being so squishy, it is fairly easy to clean. But those ridges will hold in lint and all kinds of mess, so be sure to dig into the silicone when cleaning it with water and light soap. You may not want toy cleaner for this one, as it could degrade the quality of the silicone over time.
