Why I Chose It
I had the absolute honor of testing out the Vixen Maverick myself and it truly does deserve the spot as the Test Winner for this review. This girthy big head dildo has a very satisfying shaft and a beautifully pronounced glans that’ll make anyone gulp at first sight.
The only “bad” thing I have to say about the Vixen Maverick is the price. It’s an expensive dildo, there’s no denying it. However, I wouldn’t go as far as saying that it’s overpriced. It’s my go-to dildo in my (extensive) collection so I know that it’s well worth the price. If I ever lost it or something happened to it, I wouldn’t hesitate to get a new one. There’s something about the unique Vixskin formula that just elevates everything about this dildo. The outer layer is designed to be super squishy and elasticated and it really makes it feel incredibly close to the real deal.
It’s a high quality dildo that will last you a lifetime if you take good care of it. I love that it can be thoroughly cleaned and sterilized, it can be used in a strap-on harness, and it can even be used for hands-free fun with the strong suction cup. Although, a few online reviews mention their suction cup base to be pretty unreliable. Perhaps this is often the case with the skin tone versions and not so common with the colorful designs like mine. Keep that in mind!

Now, for anyone who’s on a tight budget, I can highly recommend the Colours Pleasures 5 Inch Dildo. It also features a realistic design with wonderfully protruding head for extra internal stimulation. Our tester, Mariah, appreciated both the bright pink color and the degree of realism for such a cheap dildo: “all the veins and little wrinkles are placed appropriately, and it felt, in hand, like a firm erection. I was quite excited to give this dildo a shot!”
While I appreciate the overall quality for such an affordable product, there are few things to keep in mind before you get it. First of all, Mariah noted that “the suction cup slides on tiled wall” so using it in the shower did prove a bit tricky in some positions.
Second of all, the firmness really makes the texture more noticeable: “I don’t usually need extra lubrication, but I found with this toy, the veins are firm enough it was quite uncomfortable without it outside of the shower. But once that was sorted, honestly it was a great experience for me, with minimal clean up.”

The Tantus Charmer is a really great option for the beginners out there who want that feeling of a bulbous head for initial penetration, but still need a soft and flexible shaft that gets slightly thinner towards the base.
If you are looking for that really full feeling vaginally though, then the Tantus Charmer might be too slim for you. Our tester, Isabelle, noted that it left her “wanting a fuller feeling when using vaginally” and ended up using for anal play instead. Here, she found that “the ridges have the slight feel of anal beads, as the shaft is inserted but not as intense, and they add some subtle stimulation while the toy is inside as well. I’ve had the Tantus Charmer for a few years now and still find myself reaching for it on the regs, which is a definite win in my books!”
Again, if you know you need a suction cup on your dildo, I’m sorry to tell you, you will have to look elsewhere. The Tantus Charmer is great for vaginal and anal penetration and is compatible with an o-ring harness but you won’t be able to stick it securely onto a flat surface.

The Vixen Randy is definitely not for the faint-hearted. He is a thick boy and you should be prepared for that. Obviously, I would only recommend a big head dildo with this kind of girth to very experienced users. As our tester, Isabelle, quickly discovered, using it requires plenty of warm-up and a lot of lube. Most important of all, patience!

The Uberrime Aqua-King is just a really great dildo overall. I absolutely love the stunning design! Okay, I admit I’m a bit biased because I have a thing for the ocean… Still, if you like whimsical and fantasy-esque dildos but aren’t interested in those wildly creative shapes or tentacle-inspired designs, I highly recommend the Uberrime Aqua King!
The design features are both aesthetically pleasing and functional at the same time. That said, I would definitely remind you to check the measurements (thoroughly) before purchasing it since it was a lot bigger than it looked in the pictures.
